monarch
Depends on your personal philosophy. Do you like to minimize risks in your life or do you find that boring? If boring, then use Dexcool or any of the many other aftermarket antifreezes. Some of the exciting adventures that may await you due to the use of aftermarket antifreeze include a leaking heater core which costs about $4,000 to replace because just to get to the heater core requires many hours labor tearing apart the dashboard. RedRocket
After reviewing the posts here and many other opinions on other auto message boards. I have decided to stay with standard Prestone (green stuff). The main problem seems to be centered around a COMPLETE drain. Since that's not convient and the new aold will mix, I am staying with the green stuff. Thanks :D
Lexusfreak
I'd take steviej's advice & stick with the Toyota long life coolant (red stuff) OR you can switch to the Toyota 'Super long life engine coolant' which is pink in colour & is now factory fill on many Toyota & Lexus models.
