ruski
The other day I heard beeping noises from the garage, I went in and saw my RX300 continuously locking itself. At first I thought that maybe my wife had a hold of the remote and was pressing the lock button, but no - the car was just doing it on its own. It probably had done this all night long... I tried to use the remote to unlock it, but the remote only worked if I pressed the lock button, the unlock button did not have any effect. So I put the key into the keyhole and opened the car manually, started the engine, shut it off, got out and shut the door. The car started to lock itself again (also before I shut the door there was a continuous beep as if I pressed the lock button with doors open). I opened it again with the key and booted it up, shut it off and got out. Same thing it started locking itself. Soon after that I had to drive to work. After the ride, the self-locking stopped. What am I up against? (I think it is a good thing the lease is up in 4 months)
mailrail
Did you ever see the movie "Poltergiest"?
SKperformance
one of your remotes buttons are stuck more than likely the lock button get your wife to hold a remote and walk away from the vehicle for atleast 30 feet which should be out of range. Then try the other remote to figure out which one it is. My motehr inlaw did this to her accord a few days ago ,it got damaged from keeping it in her purse for no reason as a back up. It was locking itself non-stop for ~2 hours. I parked it on the other side of the house and it stopped. I brought it back into the garage or onto the driveway and it started going nuts again. I think that maybe the garage door opener's frequency is somehow matching the car's. I drove it, brought it back - still going nuts. I then opened and closed the garage door a few times and it seems like it stopped.
