thisisludicrous Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 I bought a keyless remote off Ebay for my 95 LS400, somehow successfully programmed it, then discovered that the driver's door lock actuator doesn't work with the 3 other doors as it should, in fact it has to be manually moved. Probably why the original remote was not included in the sale of the car to me... So now I'm scoping out door lock actuators (priced $50+ used, so I can use my $23 keyless remote - yeah, it's funny to me, too). I saw one on Ebay for a 97 model, right-front (passenger) door, but I didn't buy it because I wasn't sure of a few things. So,... 1.) Do I need a find a driver's door actuator, or will any of the other three work? 2.) Do I need to stick with 95-97, or will some of the other model years work, too? and finally, 3.) Can I fix/rebuild the original faulty actuator? Many thanks in advance for any input on this one.
SKperformance Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 i would try the wiring first as it is a simple motor it should be a 2 wire reverse polarity system unlike aftermarket ones which can use 5 wires
