NeiLtYmE
Alright... so today i was putting some 1157 tail light bulbs that were made by silverstar. I put them in one tail light.... Looked just awesome, about 3x the brightness of the original then i put them in the other tail light, however this time it looked like as if it were all the other bulbs. Same in brightness and did not come to match the one in the other tail light. This is a bit mind boggling. anybody have a clue to why something like this would occur? - Neil
SKperformance
you reversed the blub in the socket 1157 is a dual filament bulb , you have it placed in there wrnog causing the pins under it to contact and make it work as a brake light intensity rather than normal
NeiLtYmE
hey SK whats up? yeah man, i actually had my friend go back there and press on the brakes, where i then figured that out earlier today actually.. weird.. now i just gotta figure out how to get it in there right. i mean, its a silverstar which i know is supposed to be better than the original, but now coming to think of it, its all under the red plastic, which wouldnt really matter in the end. i think these bulbs were only made for signal and front parking lights as they have a very neonish yellow tint. thanks for the tip though man!! - neil
SKperformance
no worries it is easy to get it in there normally just rotate it 180 degrees and the pins on the edge will align again but so will the contacts this time
