lexxus Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 My SC400 has no guts. When you push it, it pings or knocks a little. I hope that is the right terminology. It sort of rattles a bit. My girlfriends 300 is actually much peppier. I know this can't be right. My car was owned by some older folks. I know that they took good care of it, and I'm sure that it didn't get high revs too often. Is the problem carbon buildup? Or is the timing a bit off? If it is carbon, is there some kind of product that you can put in the gas to clean it up? The 400 should have a lot more guts than the 300, right?
