nusource Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 From time to time when I park at a spot with sprinkler lines above my rx 330 in an underground garage, the back door will touch the sprinker line when it's fully opened. In order not to dent the door, I have to use one hand to hold the door from touching the overhead sprinkler line and use the other hand to remove things I want to take out from the cargo space. Is it possible to stop the back door from opening fully? It would be most desirable to be able to stop the back door at any random height. Any comments?
tds Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 The low tech way is to tie one end of a cord to the door and the other end to somewhere inside on the body. Then adjust the length of the cord to suit the height you want it to open at. A quick connect at one end would allow you to have the door open fully when outdoors with a minimum of effort.
SKperformance Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 agreed or a short bungee cod to the handle and the floor hook
