arahman84 Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Hey guys, I got a 99 ES300 and I am havinf problems with my cd player. My car came with the 6 CD Changer, and its awesome, but now that I have had the car for about 3 months some CD will just not play. I use Sony CDRs to burn CDs, they work on everything else except the car. If I put in a original CD it works fine but a burned one, it has a problem. And sometimes when it does get around to playing it its very very very staticky... Let me know what your input on this is.... Abdul
dcfish Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Clean the lens that reads the cdr's , make sure that they are in the right way and try burning at a slower speed , do not use cdrw's , try burning in .wav format .Are your other cdr,s burnt in .mp3 ? Try another cartridge . Hope this has been helpful
tundra-lover Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Are they Finalized? I know I've forgot to do that myself. The burned CD's I have work fine in my 97', and I've just used the Roxio program to copy my CD directly.
arahman84 Posted June 11, 2004 Author Posted June 11, 2004 I am using Sony CDRs and they are know to be high quality media. I made sure that the CDs were finalized. Cleaing the lens?? How would I go about doing that. I have a 6CD changer so...if anyone can guide me... thanks
steviej Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 I have used one of those Maxell CD lens cleaner discs. worked well. steviej
