Hey guys. I’m new to the forum, but I’ve been through as many threads as I can about this issue. Here’s my dilemma. I did the wire hack which worked for about six months. Now my codes are for both of the sensors being bad. I mounted a sensor on the engine support bracket. I tied in the new harness, but I’m still getting the code. I have ground at the sensor, continuity from the ECU wire all the way out to the sensor, I just have no clue what sort of reading I’m supposed to be getting. Also, where am I supposed to be getting the reading from, the sensor or ecu? I just purchased a new Denzo knock sensor because the ones I bought are new but they’re dorman brand. I figure I’d get an oem sensor to see if that fixes the issue but any help between now and when the sensors come in would be a helpful.

I switched coils it seemed as if it was running a bit better but problem gets worse as the car warms up it seems. I played around with some functions. Such as activating VVTI solenoids at idle and bank1 stalled engine instantly. But bank to the rpms actually went up roughly 200 and 10 seconds later it jumped to 2k rpms.

Obd read Ignore the knock sensor code. I was having the issue before that and the code was caused by me and had nothing to do with the miss at the time I'm getting same issue. I can barely make it up a slight incline and it takes me a solid 5 minutes to get up to the speed limit sometimes. If I slightly press gas it will speed up very slowly if I press a bit harder it bogs down and starts to slow down even on flat surfaces. I've changed the coils. I hear the VVTI oil control value is a common issue but I always hear O2 but I'm not getting a code oh 2001 Lexus rx300

Thanks @mb1 and @trakker!! This old thread was just what i needed to not give up on the power door feature on my 2005 RX with 220K miles. Was exactly the E clip issue which kept the door from working or opening more than a foot. Took about an hour and $2 for the clip. It was a 3/8 E clip for me but i mostly went off the soda can sizing. 😉. Well done! -

Hey folks. I have an 02 ES300 and have a battery drainage issue. The battery is a couple of months old and if I let it sit for 4 or 5 days it's dies and I have to charge it up. Alternator has been replaced and is charging just fine. I conducted a parasitic draw test and there was nothing drawing amps. When the car is running with the AC off, the light for the recirculating air blinks and with he AC on the light for the AC and recirculating air both blink, but the air blows very cold. Has anyone had any issues or can point me in the right direction to find what is draining my battery? It's intermittent like a relay randomly gets stuck or something. Would a sticky key fob button drain the battery? Thank you 20240527_093214.mp4

So I'm getting failure all on one side of the motor I believe mz are 1,3,5. 2,4,6. Regardless is this common for coils to failure like that? I would believe it's a wiring issue but the reader is reading different amounts of misfires in each cylinder and none are 100% misfiring so it's intermittent. 4,6 were 40/43 but 2 was 12 out of 269... Ignites (estimate it was 250+ for sure) assuming it also takes each cylinder ignition into account so 95 misfires out of 269 ignites.

Hello new to this forum but need some suggestions. So i leave car wash and drive about 12 miles. I stop at light and all the sudden everything turns off. As if someone stole my battery at the light. I put jumper cables on and got my power back so i figured battery and alternator are out. I say battery because the one in it would not take a charge after this incident. So i buy new battery hook up CORRECTLY and i noticed smoke whisking up from passenger side of motor close to radiator.Smarlls like burnt wires. I pulled the positive cable off and that is how it sits. Any ideas. Thinking about just hooking battery back up and having someone under looking for smoke. Just strange how battery completely died and it was not even a year old yet. 2007 ES 350

Greetings from a new 2008 Lexus LS 460 owner. Huge thanks to this website for helping me get a couple of critical things fixed namely the control, arms and rearview mirror whistle on the passenger door side. My model has 65,000 miles, and the owner sold it because the stealership wanted excessive amounts to service the car. So they just gave up on it. There are a couple of problems that I need to resolve in the near term and wondered if I could get some advice here. The dreaded valley plate appears to be leaking very slightly. However, after watching all of the YouTube videos on the reseal job, it looks like it's a really involved and complicated process and I am wondering if anybody has tried any radiator stop leak on it? I know this is probably has some people cringing and wanting to throw me off the forum for such a suggestion, however, the thought of pulling the Plenum and the associated equipment off is really imposing. Secondly there is a minor problem with the radio/HVAC control system. Intermittently the radio controls will not work except for the controls on the steering column. In addition, the HVAC temp control always defaults to 75° degrees and does not hold its prior setting. Any members know if there is a reset available for the HVAC and radio? Thank you again to this group for all of the awesome information available for our cars.

Rethinking Potential NX450h+ Purchase

When our battery is getting weak, an illuminated notice appears on the dash, indicating that we must shift into park before shutting off the vehicle (or something to that effect). When I see that, I replace the battery. I've never had to jump it, but I believe the procedure for doing so is in the manual. -

I’m about to pull the trigger on a “used”RX 500h F Sports Performance……is it a good deal or keep looking??? I’m moving from an Acura, the vehicle I’m considering has 4,200 miles and listed for 71,600. Not certified used, not at a lexus dealer but is at a toyata dealer……. looking for advice!

Well my friend I see this is old so I'm sure you have been educated by now but I just have to ask: how did it feel to be 99.999% sure about something, with all the confidence you could muster proclaim to know something you actually just assumed. That's what happens when you assume. You were 99.999% sure you were correct and ended up 100% wrong smh lmao
