  2. Yes, after replacing the battery in your 2016 Lexus RX350, you will need to perform a reset to ensure all systems are functioning optimally. Here are the steps to reset your Lexus after replacing the battery: Turn Off the Ignition and Disconnect the Negative Terminal: Before you start, make sure the ignition is turned off. Then, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery1. Wait for 15 Minutes: Allow the vehicle’s systems to reset by waiting for about 15 minutes. Reconnect the Negative Terminal and Turn On the Ignition: After waiting, reconnect the negative terminal and turn on the ignition1. Reset Specific Functions: Follow the on-screen prompts to reset specific functions. This includes resetting the clock and date settings, power windows and sunroof, and the audio and navigation systems. Test the Functionality of Your Lexus After Resetting: After you’ve completed the reset, test the functionality of your Lexus to ensure everything is working properly. Please note that each window has to be reset individually. To do this, start the vehicle and roll each window down and hold for second. Also, all your radio presets will be lost and you will have to re-enter all. If you experience any issues with the functionality of your Lexus after resetting, troubleshooting options are available for common issues during the resetting process. A comprehensive test drive helps identify and address any remaining issues.
  3. Read the instructions, follow them are certainly complicated. In the CT (2017 with ML audio, sunroof, leather (synthetic) and all the extras available here) we have it is far simpler: Car is not turned on - take out the old microSD-card - insert the new microSD-card - turn on the car. Updated navigations system (2021) functions after about 20 minutes with car turned on. Have not updated since as the navigations system in Lexus is not worth using; often tells you to follow longer roads and sometimes against one way streets. Any smartphone has better navigations system and with completely free updates except for handing info about where you are while using the navigation over to Google. Most people do that anyway. Apple system is not better, also steal all the info available whenever using your phone.
  4. Replace the battery in your key fob and it will fix the radio. If the key fob battery is low, the radio will not turn on or off at all. Sometimes your screen for your navigation will be blacked out too but replace the batteries with good batteries too not cheap ones. Otherwise you’ll have the same problem. This is what I found Work.
  5. We have a new Lexus TX Though a Lexus owner since 1990 I find the new vehicle display and functions too complicated. The issue is there is no voice guidance. In other vehicles you could go to Settings and adjust the Volume under Navigation. I could not find such an option. Over the years we have had over a dozen Lexus vehicles, starting with the original LS 400. The SUVs have ranged from RX 300 through LX 470 etc. The one we got rid of was 2019 GX 460. TX is a big vehicle and we like most of the features. But the Navigation and Entertainment system feels too complicated. Any suggestion will be appreciated. TX being a new vehicle I could not locate much in the internet Thanks RKW
  6. I have a 2017 rx 350 . Dealer tells me that Lexus has no updated chip to update the navigation . The latest version chip only goes to 2021. No after market chip is available due to Lexus proprietary chip technology. On my 2015 Camry I can get an after market chip and it works fine . Updated till 2023 . if Lexus has a proprietary chip and can’t provide an update and its their system we bought ( not cheap ) what are the legal ramifications to Lexus ? .
  7. I apologize in advance but i haven't been able to find an answer to how do i bring my 08 RX 350 into the 21st century 🤔blue tooth is obviously hands free phone only (as far I can tell anyway). So like the title says...Whats the best upgrade for my 08 RX350 infotainment system? I'm totally a diy kind of guy, I upgraded my 01 with a unit from GROM audio which was great. I just expected more from my 08 RX 350. I don't know Whats available? Do i have to use the existing screen or replace it? as always your input is greatly appreciated, Bill
  8. After much thought - cannot replace my truck and want to bring it back to factory. It is under 100k miles and spent its life in SF Bay Area - minimal rust from drives to the Sierras but it needs lots of stuff due to general neglect, random dents and dings from city life, etc. Frame is straight and engine seems stronger every day… never skimped on the mechanicals so hopefully not too much on that end of things but want to make it look new again inside and out. An upgrade to some more modern infotainment stuff would please my wife but that is nice to have. Came across this video and this is what I would love to do for my truck: I am hoping someone here can help point me to someone in Bay Area or not too far away to help take on this project for me (as much as my dream would be to do this myself) as I just don’t have the time to devote to do this myself these days. All suggestions welcomed - truck is part of the family and not willing to say goodbye 🙂 Thanks!
  9. I have a similar model and the drivers seat height adjustment could be a little higher. It's not a problem for me, but my wife needs more height. One of the reviews I read did state that the riding position is lower. I would like a beep too if to put the turn signal on and there is someone in the blind-spot. On another subject. is there any way to lock-in a screen on the navigation, so when you turn it back on you get the same screen? Mine always goes back to a zoomed out flat default screen.
  10. Great work on your project RX300. So as far as upgrading the struts you would be looking at an 08 to 2013 Highlander. This upgrade is beneficial due to raised spring perches on the struts allowing a slight lift ( about 1 inch) and improved clearance to run bigger tires. Thats the good. The bad is there is only so much room to space out the struts. Meaning that with your current spacers and attempting the Highlander struts together it wont fit! Another option is Strut spacers and stiffer coils. An ideal trial would be to do subframe spacers to effectively lower subframes and help regain some of the original geometry. Then go forward with additional spacer height. Bottom line there is only so much lift without major modification. Hope that helps!
  11. Have you resolved the issue with the navigation. I have a similar problem. I had my battery replaced by an independent mechanic and ever since the radio and navigation do not work. Lexus charged me 850 dollars to do a diagnostic and they say the whole head unit needs to be replaced at a cost of about 5k. I am not doing that. Of cource the mechanic who replaced the battery says they did everything properly when replacing the battery. Anyone else have this issue and how did you resolve it? Thanks Anthony
  12. Thank you for the additional details for the bumper removal. 'Marker bulbs' are what - running lights? Which halogens did you upgrade to? Would you recommend it. I assume you didn't go LED because you have the projector lense?
  13. Currently what navigation are you using for your 2018 Lexus RX 350
  14. I have a 2018 lexus RX 350 base model and for the navigation system it would work on Scout GPS Link, since Oct 3032 it has been discontinued, does anyone know what is the alternative for having a navigation system showing maps
  15. I used to be a Lexus Tech. I have this laying around and figured someone may need it. The CODE CARD is brand new and comes with this for you. I'm asking $40.00 which includes the shipping to you.

  17. The only fuse I could find that had anything to do with it was listed as "Tv/navigation" and I think it was #29 in the passenger side kick panel and that 5amp fuse was fine. Yes there is a backup cam. I pulled the climate control out and all plugs were there and plugged in. No as far as I know the nav screen doesn't work, seems like all the buttons on top of the climate control are dead. Is there another plug somewhere that I'm missing? Or a different fuse?
  18. Does anyone have any pointers on when Lexus is going to release the latest map updates for navigation? Local dealer has been stringing me along since Dec saying they usually get them by December. Most of the roads on the installed navigation are outdated and with the amount of construction and new roads in the Dallas area, it's useless sometimes. I know phone has the latest, but I am not comfortable using navigation on phone when car has the feature.
  19. UX200, 2019....new to me car.... Is there any way to use remote start with this vehicle? I've googled it and tried following the directions given, but nothing happens with the car. I can only start it from inside the vehicle itself. Also, when trying to use Apple Play, my phone connects just fine UNTIL a call comes in.... then I can answer the call but nobody can hear me!! It's like the car does NOT HAVE a microphone or something. I can't use my voice control on navigation or anything.
  20. It looks like in-dash navigation is not readily available, but have you considered something like this? Garmin DriveSmart™ 76 Portable navigator with 7" display at Crutchfield
  21. I have a Lexus ES 350, 2014 with factory installed navigation. Unfortunately that navigation system is no longer being updated and I find the exit numbers on all of the highways in my area are wrong. I was wondering if there is any way for me to use Android Auto with my car? is there anything that can be installed to make it compatible so that I can see it on the navigation screen? Using it on my phone is just too small. I need to be able to see the map clearly while I’m driving. Thanks
  22. For sale is my Lexus IS 350 F SPORT, 40,344 miles, clean title, excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, garage kept. I'm located north of Atlanta, willing to meet within 100 miles of Atlanta. 23. I would appreciate any comments. I need to update the navigation system as well in my 2011 ES 350 and wondering if the generation 5 referred to earlier is right for me too, or should I buy the East/West dual DVD for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance... Carl
  24. I am curious if there is brake parts, bolt on compatibility from the 15" wheels of 1997 es300 (16" wheels of 2000 and 2001 are the same brake disc size) to 17" wheel sizes of the 2002 to 2012 ES Series. I am willing to increase the wheel and tire size to 17" but want the increase in disc size accordingly to improve braking performance. I am trying to replicate improvement from the size upgrade I did with my 2000 Chevy Tahoe. I added 18" wheels and tires (above the 16" standard ones) and was then direct bolt on larger discs and calipers from 2007 Chevy Silverado Pickup trucks. I would prefer to use Toyota/Lexus parts but am open to reputable outside companies who can do the upgrade. Thanks, Keith
  25. I'm having the same problem after changing the battery. No power to the radio or the navigation screen but the screen lights up when the back-up camera comes on. Anybody find out where the fuse is? Our car is a 2016 NX200. There is another fuse panel up under the dash by the OBD port. It has a white cover on it and it is in a recessed area . There is no fuse in there that is labeled for the radio or navigation system either. Pete
