  1. Well at least i'm helping, I took pictures and pin point it. Okay so SW03ES is correct like you mention. Okay I tried helping but gave out wrong info Sorry, I guess i'm gonna remove those pictures. - Robert :(
  2. Okay, I felt so bad for you so I decided to grab my digi camera and took some pic for you from my mom's ES330 Here is the button you should be pushing in order to open your trunk It's located on your left hand side right next to the GAS OPENER. And if you tried pushing the that button and your trunk still doesn't pop open. Then it's probably disabled. To enable it, there is a button inside your glove compartment. Push this putton Once and it will enable the feature of opening your trunk from the button inside of car. Once you enable it, go back and push the first putton near the GAS OPENER and your trunk should pop open. Good Luck - Robert
  3. It's really easy to do... I replace both sides of my fog lights. To reach the passenger side of the fog lights - First you have to remove the White tube for the Windshield wiper fluid. Just unscrew it and pull it out... This will give you easier access for the fog on the passenger side. To reach the driver side of the fog lights -First You have to remove the car battery. Once you have it removed, this will give you easier access for the fog on the driver side. Good Luck OCNLVR, When you get them installed, come back and let us know how was it. -Robert :D
  4. Probably not ← ← NO It doesn't work, It will say "Please Insert A MAP DATA Disc" or somthing like that... I tried it before. doesnt work.
  5. yea they sell it here http://store.yahoo.com/parkplacelexus/cdchanger11.html Good Luck :D - Robert
  6. Hey cxw, Yes this is normal, usually the driver side is aimed a little bit lower then the passenger side to prevent glaring for the cars on the opposite direction of the road. - Robert :D
  7. Haha, I just saw that commercial like 10 mins ago here in California ABC. I didnt fully pay attention to it but if i see it again i'll post it up if i know the name of the song.
  8. I have a 2000 RX300 30,000 miles on it. When I first start my car and turn on the A/C, the engine makes like this noise that it is stuck or struggling or somthing that last for like 2 seconds. I've notice that it only happens when I first start the car. But today when i turn it on, it made like this struggling noise and then it sqeaked for about 2 seconds. I've tried searching for my problem on the forum but i couldn't find my specific problem. If anyone knows could you please help. Thanx -Robert
  9. Okay so i went to Lexus today and they said "It was the battery and it was bad". So.... They ask me if i wanted to change the battery and i asked how much. My service advisor said it's gonna be $120 just for the battery iteself plus $40 of labor. Wow which equals $160 just for a battery. But then the guy wispered in my ear and said "If i know how to change the battery, then just go outside and buy one, which is cheaper". So... I went to Pepboys and i bought a new battery it was like $79 so yea. And ever since that battery was in place, my clock stop resetting and my A/C & lights dont dim anymore when I roll up my windows. -Robert
  10. I made a call to Lexus Link couple days ago, after an advisor help me, I also ask if lexus link will be available again in the future. She said that for now it's only available for current subscribers over analog. Lexus link is going to switch to digital later on. All current users who are using analog right now will be discontinued service after 2008. She said at that time, maybe lexus might provide some sort of upgrade to digital or some sort to subscribers who have analog system in their vehicle.
  11. Hey Guesss What !!!!! :D I have the same problem too and we are in the same boat (I guess). So your not alone. I just called the lexus dealer and I describe the problem to them. They told me to bring it in. At first I was thinking to just to get the battery change but then when I describe other symtoms such as: When rollling up and down my windows, my A/C fan seems to slow down a bit and my head lights seem to dim too. So I'm going to bring it in to Lexus and i'll give you an update. Oh yea just to let you know my car is out of warrenty also. But they said it will cost $90 for an electrical Test or Electric diagnositic, if they find a problem and I tell them to fix it, then I only pay for the repair and not the Test. A new battery cost $160. Aiya..... so much Money going down the drain - Robert
  12. Hey, I went to the dealership a couple days ago to get my RX Serviced, I noticed that they where selling "Lexus Leather Cleaner" & "Lexus Leather Conditioner". Has anyone tried these 2 products? Is it good compared to Lexol? I've never used lexol nor the Lexus Leather Cleaner and the Conditioner. I've been using Meguire's Gold Class Rich Leather Wipes. It's really not that good. -thanx
  13. Hey, I also have ECT PWR on my 2000 RX300, but i rarely use it because it uses to much gas, but i like it thou. But in my curiousity, why did lexus stop having it after the 2000 Year model? I notice that other later models of RX300 only have Snow, and all RX330 the SNOW button is only available? P.S. I still like lexus. :D I might look forward to the RX400h in about a year or two later on.
  14. My RX is an AWD. Is it normal for this single latching sound to be produced when the AWD engages ? This sound happens only when I pull out my car from parking after starting the engine. Once started, I have tried to reproduce this sound by intermittently stopping(leaving the engine on) and moving to P and back to D and accelerating, without any success. This single latching sound is heard only immediately after starting the engine and going P to D and accelerating (at very low speeds like 5 mph and at 1500 rpm too). It is your Anti-Lock Break System. What you're hearing is normal. If you look in your manual under "ANTI-LOCK BREAK SYSTEM", it will say this From the Manual.... The anti-lock break system is design to automatically help prevent lock-up of the wheels during a sudden break or braking on slippery road surfaces. This assist in providing directional stability and steering performance of the vehicle under these circumstances. The anti-lock brake systme becomes operative after the vehicle has accelerated to a speed in excess of approximately 10km/h (6 mph). It stops operating when the vehicle decelerates to a speed below approximately 5km/h (3 mph). You may hear a click or motor sound in the engine compartment for a few second when the engine is started or just after the vehicle begins to move. This means that the anti-lock break system is in the self-check mode, and does not indicate a malfunction. I hope this solves your curiousity and hope that you enjoy your new lexus. B)
  15. After the RX300 has been handed down to me, my dad got the ES300 2002 model, which now belongs to my mom after he got the 2004 BMW 760i. It's a pretty good car and very nice too.
  16. Hey, although I drive a 2000 RX300 and yes.... I do experience this lag which is very annoying, my dad has a BMW and no it doesn't lag. I drove it many times and I prefer the BMW better. I always ask my dad if he would trade my RX300 for his BMW everytime after i drove his BMW, but all he does is give me a smile. Reason is because my RX300 use to be his and he only drove it for a year and didnt like it and so now it ended up in my hands.
  17. I heard the same thing also. I believe that it's going to be available on the RX400h.
  18. I heard it might be somtime this month or next month. I'm not really sure.
  19. That feature is only available for models 2004 and above. It's not available for 2000 RX.
  20. I use to have the same problem too on my 2000 RX300. I took it down to the dealer while it was still under warranty and they replaced the belt free of charge. After that, it never made any noise every since. :D
  21. Hmmm... Well what if I replace all the brake pads. It will go away right but then when it wears out again this will happen again right? - Thanx :)
  22. Yea, It usually happens when I apply the brakes. So if it does that click noise when I apply the brakes and the calipers are shifting like you said, what do i need to do? Does that mean the break pads are wearing out? or Do I need to replace the brakes? -Thanx for you time :)
  23. I have a 2000 RX300 with 28,000 miles on it. I recently started to notice that after I reverse out from a parking lot or drive way and then put it in "D" Drive, I hear a click or a pop noise about 100ft after it's been put in to drive. The sound seems to come out from the bottom of the car. Can anyone please tell me whats wrong and what should I do? Thanks Very Much.
  24. 4. And that's all there is to it. After I have removed my racks, I thought my car look nicer without them. Another thing, the wind noise in my car had decreased too.
  25. 3. After you have lift up and removed the rack. You will see a metal piece that looks like this on each side of the rack. Slide that piece of metal to the opening and remove it. I suggest that you place these metal pieces in a sandwhich bag and tape the bag onto the rack when you store the racks.
