  1. Hey all - I'm just wondering what after market accessories people have gotten. Things like window tint, seat covers, etc. Mercedes has a great rear seat cover that's perfect for people with kids as it protects the seat from their mess. Its just a plain cloth cover that looks like it slips on and off easily, would be great for days when I go to the beach with friends. I wish Lexus had that but the only seat covers I can find fitted for Lexus are 3rd party made hideous cow and cheetah print for the front seats. Thanks in advance!
  2. Thanks for the pics, they look great! Congratz on the S5, I test drove one before getting the ES350, backseat was too small, but aside from that its one wicked car.
  3. Thanks for the update. My Lexus dealer just told me they don't do tinting and don't have any place they recommend. I just e-mailed another dealership and hopefully they do it. Otherwise I'll have to find an independent but I'd rather use a dealership.
  4. Eh, don't I feel stupid now :P . Thanks a lot for pointing this out, I'll definitely do a search before posting in the future.
  5. Thanks for the tip! Do you recall how much it cost? Did you tint the rear window?
  6. Oh wow, what a crack pot! Thanks for the heads up.
  7. I'm considering adding a light to medium tint to the side and rear windows of my '09 ES350. I haven't contacted a dealer about it yet, anyone have thoughts on whether to do this at a dealer or private shop that specializes in these things? Any ideas on cost? Thanks!
  8. If it was working before and suddenly stopped, take it to the dealer. Just make sure the parking sensor button to the left of the steering wheel is on. The system setting doesn't turn the sensor on or off, its the button that does that.
  9. Its a ~$40k car, the extra $3.00 or so every time you fill it up is worthwhile.
  10. On the IS the spoiler looks good, but on an ES, it loses it's appeal. I like the ES look better without the spoiler. :P Agreed, I'm not a fan of the spoiler on the ES either. All weather mats are a must in my opinion so good call there.
  11. Check out page #45 in the 2009 ES350 owners manual. I did it with the two key fobs mine and my wife's, that way when either of us approach the car it sets to which ever memory that fob is set for. It sets the seat and mirror. GOOD LUCK Thanks for the pointer, not sure how I missed that tip in my first review of the manual!
  12. The headlight tilt, or Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) switch, located below the steering column is in fact mentioned in the owners manual for the 2009 ES350 (p.136). Unfortunately the picture doesn't make it clear where its located, I had to call my dealer to find out. Great tips, wish I had some to add but I've had mine for less than a week. Does anyone know how to associate a key with a particular seat setting? So that when I approach it sets everything to saved setting #2? Thanks!
  13. I had the clear bra on my 2007 ES 350. I did not like it at all. Once you wax the car, the line is very evident. You also have to be careful in what you use to clean the car with. I got some kind spray cleaner in the clear bra and it became spotted. It looked horrible, especially on a luxury car. 3M would not back up the warranty, but luckily Lexus removed it for free. truckerr Thanks for info. What you said and some thing I read convinced me not to get one. I got one on my '02 BMW 3 series and it kept the car chip free until I sold it last year. I never had any problems with it being noticeable or spotted. Sounds like it wasn't done right for the above poster. I also had it added to my '09 ES350 and I would absolutely recommend.
