  1. It's e-shift and no, sadly they do not light up. That would be awesome if they did though.
  2. My friend is in Seattle right now but she's leaving tomorrow night (Monday). Maybe you can give them to her? You can IM me at i 0 0 3 s G i on AIM or email me at biteme13168@hotmail.com. I live in LA BTW.
  3. Damn I wish I had known about this earlier. Your post is 2 months late. Our car was repaired at Caliber Collision Center and the job was less then satisfactory. A hole drilled through our seat belt... foot prints on the leather, scratches everywhere (ON THE NEW BUMPER AND FENDER) and big chips on the fuel door. <_< Never go to Caliber Collision Center if you live in the 909/626/714 area. They suck.
  4. I use Chem-Dry's "Stain Extinguisher". Works like a charm everytime. Have you tried that? You can use it on normal carpet too! That justifies the cost.
  5. Has anyone heard of those? I was on a BMW board and a few of the guys have keyhole covers. I'm thinking of getting a pair because it'll look smoother and possibly make breaking into the car harder? Pic here. Anyone know of any sites?
  6. I read on another Lexus forum that you can do the chroming yourself. All you need is paint remover and remove tha paint off the grill. Under the stock grill is paint. Is this true?
  7. I'll give the hair dryer a try. But... I'm going to need one heck of a extension cord. LOL. Does the glue become soft during a hot day? Will it become even softer if I apply water to it? I live in Cali and I'm thinking of sitting it in the sun and washing the car and when I'm done, taking the emblem off. Sound good?
  8. Has anyone tried using WD-40 to remove the emblems from their Lexus? I'm going to remove them and a guy in the GX470 forum said that the emblem would fall right off. Won't it/will it be bad for the paint in any way? Has anyone tried this? What's the best method of removing the residual gluey substance after taking the emblem off?
  9. Our GS was recently in a accident and we got her back and the emblems needed to be replaced. I didn't know about this until my father told me, and now he and I kind of want to change the emblems. As we all know, in Japan, the GS is called the Aristo. Could someone Photoshop an Aristo emblem onto the trunk, replacing the "L" logo in the middle? I want to see how it looks like so I can probably convince him to get an emblem change. Does anyone know of a good and cheap site that offers the Aristo emblem? Can someone Photoshop two pictures? One with just the Aristo emblem in the middle and one with the Aristo emblem in the middle and the V300 emblem on the left (where the GS300 would originally be). Thanks.
  10. Hey guys, I was on some other forums, and I came across this. It appears that aftermarkey HID kits are going to be made illegal? I read all the replies and some said they called in and were told it wasn't true. Can anyone shed any light on this? Read it here Might this be the time to buy HIDs for my 2001 GS300? I have not the slightest clue about how HIDs work. Can anyone give me any pointers/ recommendations?
  11. Well, after 30 thousand unbelievable miles :magic: , it's time to take the GS300 in for the big ol' 30 tune up. I have a 2001 GS300 and I would like to know how much your 30k tune up cost. I would also like to know what parts were replaced and what I should look out for. I would also like to know any problem areas that you guys encountered. Thanks in advance! :D
  12. sorry about late reply. A friend of mine has a bro who owns a shop and he got them for me 12 grand? that IS pretty steep... but 500hp!!
  13. Did you ever consider a F-Max Turbo Kit? I have one on my GS3 and it's wonderful. There's about 370hp going to the wheels. :D
  14. i LOVE the turbo! it sounds great and the extra power is AWESOME. I haven't dynoed it but i think there's atleast 400 horses going to those rubber shoes :D . i've never run it at a track but i've raced a few of my friends on the way to vegas. you wouldn't believe how badly i burned my friends (new) m3! it's AWESOME. a must if you want some serious power
  15. Rumor has it that the new model is going to be out in 2004. I haven't seen any pics though. :?
  16. I guess your pretty lucky with your rims not pancaking etc. Some of our roads here have huge potholes and we have lots of dips and speed bumps and pancaking is quite common here. I guess it depends on where your location is.
  17. Good idea. I never thought of that! Thanks!!
  18. It's just dust. There's some grease/oil but not much. I don't think spraying the engine down is really good. Any suggestions besides wipping down the engine? (mine has quite a amout of dust on it)
  19. How do you guys keep your engines so clean just like the day you bought them? Mine is already dirty. Anyone know any ideas on how to clean the engine bay and keep it clean?
  20. Does the sport mode actually make a difference while driving? If so what kind of diffences?
  21. EXCELLENT CHOICE! I have Eibach lowering springs for Lexus. Once you decide on them don't for get your coil-overs. I have Tein HA Coil-overs. :)
  22. 20 inchers will most definitely rub and your rims will get dents. I have 19 inchers on my GS and I love them fine. Consider 19 inchers instead of 20 inchers.
  23. I have a 2001 GS300 with 15,000 miles on the odo. I notice that there's been a strange noise coming from the engine. It sounds like a buzzing bee and it only occurs when I'm accelerating. The sound comes when I'm travelling at 30 mph and above that or below the engine runs perfectly. I haven't taken it in to the dealer yet. Anyone know what's going on?
  24. I have a 2001 GS300 with factory headlamps. I want to get a HID conversion but I don't know any good sites that sell them. Does anyone know some good aftermarket sites or is anyone selling them? Please E-mail me. :D
