  1. Passenger side centered just above the tail light in the same way the "Lexus" emblem is centered on the driver's side. I'll take a pic in a few days and post it here.
  2. Per the above posting, how do you perform preventive maintenance on the exhaust?
  3. Just ordered a set of NKG iridium spark plugs. The Lex has 72,000 miles. Is it a good idea to also change the ignition wires? If so, any suggestions about brand and where to get a good price?
  4. OK so I'm a showoff, a snob maybe, but just to emphasize the point that "this ain't-one-of-those-sleek-looking-but-otherwise-wimpy-imports" I went to my Toyota dealer and got a chrome V8 emblem ($25 bucks -made for a Land Cruiser) and stuck it on the back of my SC. It looks great. A personality flaw perhaps but I feel so much better now.
  5. That big molded undercarriage piece (apprx. 3 ft X 2ft) that fits under the front of the car came loose while scooting down the freeway then slowly started becoming more undone until it came off altogether (I'm sure the car in back of me wasn't amused). :o Can my SC survive OK without it?
  6. Regarding my earlier posting on the subject a possible gathering place for western Washington SC'rs (eastern WA drivers also welcome)...I found out that the upcoming car show in Monroe, WA is more of a swap meet than car show. After speaking to one of the organizers yesterday I wouldn't recommend it. However, there are a couple of open car shows coming up that may be of interest. Such as... Saturday, June 5 - Show 'N Shine Car Show, Arlington, WA sponsored by the Arlington Old Town Merchants, this annual car show fills Olympic Ave with vehicles of all vintages. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13th, "ON THE WATERFRONT" Car Show, 9:00am - 4:00pm, Legion Park in North Everett. This is part of the Salty Sea Days thingee. Go to: http://www.saltyseadays.org/events.htm Over the mountains.... Saturday, June 26th, Wenatchee, WA - 26th Annual Wenatchee Valley Apple Run, Confluence State Park, Show & Shine - 8am-3pm at the Park and over the border.... Sunday, May 30 - Richmond, B.C. at the park in the historic Village of Steveston. Show - 10am-4pm The idea would be to all meet up at one spot and caravan to one of these shows and park there as a group. If interested email me with your first and second choice. If enough people show interest we might make it happen. I'll inform everyone who emails me the results of the poll. Don Carson email: WeatherDon@aol.com

  8. About all I know at this point is that the Monroe Auto Swap Meet is Saturday & Sunday, May 15 & 16 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. Sat 8 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 9 AM to 2 PM. Just an idea, but it might be kinda' cool to all meet either one of those two days at some easy to find spot along I-5 (or I-405) between Seattle and Lynnwood and then caravan as a group to the meet and park as a group there. I have a contact number that I'll call today to get more details about cost, etc. What do ya'all think?
  9. I'm a new member living in the Mill Creek area wondering the same thing. Here's an idea, have an SC area at the Monroe Auto Swap Meet, Evergreen State Fairgrounds one of the two car show days, either May 15 or 16.
  10. I think your Dad need's a new insurance company. I live in the Seattle area with my 20 year old daughter on my policy. The insurance company (Allstate) has her rated as the primary driver of one of my lesser cars and me as the primary driver of the SC400. However, if she jumps in the Lex and has an accident she's still covered. The increase in having my SC on my policy was marginal. Call my insurance office @ 425-337-4646 for a reality check.
  11. Try going to: autotraderonline.com Do an advanced search. I just did and I found four 5 speed '95 SC300s for sale across the good ol' USofA.
  12. I live near Mill Creek and would be delighted to show you my '96 SC400. I just bought it from a seller in Arizona abut unfortunately I won't be getting delivery for another 2 to 3 weeks. If interested contact me then. I probably won't be able to help you with the technical stuff, but that can easily be found on the internet or through this Forum.
