  1. what size are the brakes on the RX330? are they bigger than the rx300? if so, do you think they could be adapted to fit the rx300? i dunno if that's a good idea or not but it might be a simple solution as a "big brake upgrade"...just a thought, tho...
  2. ← The rims are from a Lexus 330 ← dude, i totally didn't read your initial post! hahaha...they should fit w/o any spacers, man...
  3. it'll depend on the dimensions of the 17" rims, most importantly the offset...
  4. ok ya'll, i got some 18" rx400h oem rims that i plan on using for my winter rims on my rx300 and i'm lookin' for some good all-season tires...i'm fairly certain that the size i need is 255/55/18...i've narrowed it down to either the pirelli scorpion zero or the yokohama geolander hts...i've heard some comments about the yoko's before on various other threads and i'm currently running yokohama avs on my 20's...they seem to be quality tires...i like the tread pattern on the pirellis and i know of their reputation as great sport tires but i don't know anything about their perfomance in winter conditions...in seattle we barely get any snow but i do like to go up to the mountains to snowboard (actually, i just end up drinking in the lodge all day but that's another story ) anyways, i know everybody's got an opinion on their tires but if you guys could tell me what you feel about these 2 tires in particular, i'd luv to hear it. thanks.
  5. this is the response i got from vais tech :( "Unfortunately but unit for this particular vehicle will not be available. On the RX 300 availability starts with year 2001, and for vehicles with Navigation only." boo...
  6. anybody know if the oem rx330 rims will fit on the rx300 w/ 255/55/18 tires? or will i hafta go 235/55/18 to clear the back? Were they the same size as your OEM tires ? I have 235/55-18 on my 2005, would these fit with no problems ? ←
  7. not a DC, it's a dvd player...
  8. my friend's car club had a bbq this past weekend and somebody took a flick of my rx ;) mine is the all silver one...there was another rx, an orange one, that was there as well...she had a complete system done up in the back and painted to match body color...the paint job in back wasn't that great, tho, it is good from far ;) feel free to express your opinions...i think it was for sale too...
  9. man, you gotta shop around...ebay it and see what you can find as far as rims go...i've come across some pretty good deals on the silver rims but the chrome ones are too pricey to me...as for tires, i'm fixin' to get some pirelli scorpions 255/55/18s probably...unless i can get a good deal on toyos or dunlops from some friends...good luck, man ;)
  10. you might wanna consider the rx330/400 rims then...they ain't too expensive, it'll bump you up to 18", and i think it's a clean look for the rx300...oh, and welcome to the club, man ;)
  11. do you know if the specs on the rx400h rims are the same? i thought those were 18x7.5...i just bought some but they ain't here yet...i sure hope they fit my rx300 w/o spacers! any suggestions what i can do with my 16s...i don't think they're worth any money...matter of fact, if anybody here in the seattle area wants them, holla at me...just get them outta my garage ;)
  12. you got some pics of your set up? I bought an rx300 w/o navigation thinking that I would install it at a later time as well. It turned out that the oem parts (dvd-rom, screen and stereo assembly) are so expensive that it was not even practical to do it. I ended up installed an aftermarket system (Pioneer brand for about $700). ←
  13. it should be located right below the passenger seat but it's a tiny sub (like 4") or something like that...bass is a joke on the stock nak system...
  14. ok, thanks guys! i'll just get the oem one...
  15. $25 for a bosch cabin filter + $9 s/h - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW is this the filter for the ac?
  16. imo go with 22's...they'll fill up the wheel well nicely...
  17. i'm running 245/40/20, i think...michelin pilot sport. handling is great as is the performance in wet conditions...i live in seattle so wet conditions is the norm...i'm not sure about in dry conditions...still waiting for some ;) j/k...it's mud and snow rated but i'm not gonna take my chances with them sport tires, ya dig? road noise is quite a bit higher tho...i'm prolly gonna try the yokohamas when it's time to get new tires...hope that helps! what size tires are you running? hows the ride on 20"s? road noise? ←
  18. i was 25 when i bought my 2000 rx300. i'm a single dad holdin' it down and this had the room, comfort, and amenities that i was lookin' for...i'm still rollin' it but now it sits on 20's with a lowered stance and monochrome paint job...i'm thinkin' bout my next car already...mebbe the rx400h or the new gs300 awd...aww yeah.
  19. i thought the silversport supposedly had a "eurotuned" suspension too... Is the "coach" the same as the "silversport" or are they just different production years? When I bought my 2001 RX300 last year, I was told it was a silversport. It has perforated leather & a different style grille. ←
  20. here's my joint on 20" lsportline model IV. http://www.cardomain.com/id/strmrdr426
  21. isn't that just the jdm grill for the harrier?
  22. hey, you replaced your factory blue screen! did you relocate it? if not how do you know what your climate settings are??
