  1. If you have a Lincoln Navigator, Lincoln's nav system isn't very complete.
  2. Its possible...
  3. Good point, I did forget about the door closers...
  4. Well of course, the dealer always wants to sell something on the lot. They make an inverse comission making MORE on cars that have been on the lot a certain number of days.
  5. And also I've found just in general Windex doesn't work well as glass cleaners go. I've used Invisible Glass but the aerosol spray makes it go everywhere. I use Eagle One's 20/20 with great results.
  6. The simple fact is this Toyota dealer and JPI are INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES like jrag said. They can choose what they want to work on and don't. A Lexus dealer wouldn't change the oil in a Honda Accord so why would JPI? He's selected a concentration for his business, Toyota and Lexus vehicles. If he accepts ONE Honda then not only does he run the risk of his techs, being trained in Toyota and Lexus doing something wrong but then he has to worry about working on this guy's Honda in the future, including any referrals. All of a sudden he doesn't have a Toyota/Lexus service shop anymore does he? Who knows why the dealership chooses not to work on Lexuses, maybe they've found the owners are more difficult etc. BUT thats life and you have to respect their decision. Nobody HAS to do anything for you. Just because they own a shop doesn't mean they're compelled to change your oil. I detail cars for clients on the side, 2-3 a month probably. I don't accept anything thats not a luxury car because thats what I want to work on and what is usually in the better condition, and I only agree to do a car when I've personally examined it. Its made some people a little irritated that have wanted me to detail their 1990 Chevy Corsica, but its my business and my decision.
  7. Naa, they're not going to fix it. I think its inherant to the technology. It is possible to adapt to it as I have, it doesn't bother me anymore. In fact driving cars with standard throttles now seems strange.
  8. Sure, it should be fully compatible.
  9. I agree with everything he said...
  10. I think that it is a condition of the throttle by wire system, possibly having to do with its integration to gas engines. I've heard complaints about this hesitation from owners of all kinds of different cars that have e-throttles. For some reasons diesels don't seem to have the issue and niether do hybrids, possibly because of the higher low end torque of diesel and electric motors.
  11. Actually the Lexus optitron lighting reduces distraction by making it easier to zero in on the info you're looking for.
  12. Good luck lol
  13. Did it in 05? Cool.
  14. The weatherstripping from Lexus is actually pretty inexpensive. The best product for you to use is some sort of trim restorer perhaps maybe Poorboys Trim Restorer. These will deep clean the plastic and remove all the imbedded oils and contamination. Then you can protect them with something like 303 Aerospace Protectant. THis is about the most advanced plastic protectant out there. The peices may very well be beyond repair though. I'm going to move this to the detailing forum for ya.
  15. Run a search on here for "electronic throttle" or "drive by wire". Many cars with these e-throttles have this sort of hesitation on gasoline powered engines. Not sure why.
  16. Your 2000 Camry did not have an electronic throttle.
  17. But they shouldn't...
  18. Vicki- Laughing at a fellow member and saying anyone who knows anything disagrees with him is rude, but he removed the comments so the problem is gone ;) Yeah thats really what you have to do, if that salesman gave you the best price AND seems the most sincere then he definately deserves your business. Good luck!
  19. Some Toyota dealerships don't...
  20. The newer cars don't feel nearly as heavy as the older ones. The ride is totally different.
  21. Maybe not, but jrag does have a point. While ultimately it wouldn't work out it would cost the dealership a lot in time and money and more importantly teach them a lesson. In this case though its not worth the hassle, just buy the car somewhere else and chock it up to a *BLEEP*ty dealer. The thing is that they're not technically breaching the contract. They verbally agreed to sell her AN ES330 with that equipment in those colors and for that price. Until there is a deposit the SPECIFIC car is not entered into the equation. The dealer offered to find her another car, meaning they were going to make good on the deal. I would always insist on putting a deposit down. The dealer should ALWAYS accept this as it guarantees them the business. The fact that they refused would have been a major red flag that they were up to something. Chuck- Please try and be polite, jrag like you and I is simply trying to help. You can disagree with him but please do so with the respect he deserves.
  22. In the US at least the RX330 doesn't have bluetooth...
  23. Yep, they all do that. It should be less noticable in ECT PWR mode.
  24. Yeah I wasn't saying for your case, I was just talking about how the carbuying experience is made difficult by not only sellers, but buyers also. Did the sales guy know you were moving to Orlando? Thats strange. Something extraordinary must have happened or it must have been some sort of mistake. I can't believe the sales or general managers would have knowingly let that happen... Don't let the sales dept. worry you about service, they are seperate. I service my Lexus at the dealer that ordered the wrong color because the one I bought it from is too far. Their service dept. is fine.
  25. Yeah thats definately not right... If it persists you might want to see if Toyo will swap them out for another set...
