FRIDAY the 13th!

Have a 2004 RX 330... Drives Great no issues. The 330, 350, and 400h, are an entirely different vehicle than the Rx300... I even tow my jets skis and a utility trailer regularly...

Ok, just bought an 05 RX330, also have a 90 ES250, it seems I see mostly problems in the posts, are these good vehicles, and is everyone satisfied with theirs?!
We are
2005 RX 330, and happy, indeed. Drives like a charm. A SUV that drives like a sports car... only problem rear drivers door actuator... had that fixed for about $200, as I was able to locate a used one... but the positives far out way the negative.

Oh yeah... clearance is the only issue... but playing in the mud was fun, it did ok... Not like my Jeep... but not bad considering its a LUV.

I own a ES330 (2006) and a RX330 (2004). When I am wondering if the DVD on my ES330 will work on my RX330 if I upgrade the ES330 to the latest version. I don't want to pay for 2 DVD's. I am happy with the ES330 version that I currently have but not too thrilled with the older RX330 2004 version. Since I own both these cars, Can I copy the DVD from the newere Lexus and put it in the older RX?
No, there is a different DVD for each generation reader. But check this thread for cheep updates, http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=52419

You could have blown more than a fuse... On board computer, could be fried...
Prbly not what you want to here, but reversing the terminals, can be very fatal for cars like this that have so much reliance on the on board computer...

Glad to be of help. ;)
Same for me... I had been trying to programm the thing, and it just wouldn't take the code. I must've spend 2 hours trying to do it. I deleted the codes, and then it took.
THANKS!

Salvage titles are issued when an insurance company totals a vehicle, meaning that the cost of the accident repair would be more than 75% of the car's current value.
This car was likely purchased from an insurance company and received a low-budget, low-quality repair to get it back on the road.
Even if you end up taking a loss, my advice is to sell the car and move on, or return it if you have that option. It does not sound like the seller described the car accurately.
If it was fixed by a reputable body shop, it would still be a good car. But, it is obvious that the repair shop who fixed your car cut lots of corners...and I'm sure there are many problems that have not yet revealed themselves.
I agree... Don't bother with trying to fix it... Try and find a sucker to buy it... oops sorry. But if $500 is already breaking the bank, there is no way that you will be able have this fixed, with out spending minimum $5000. So unless you are OK with that, GET RID OF IT!

Great Post.
The one thing that I found was that previous to me someone had over tightened the bolts on the panels... so after I was done, I put the panels back on and set sail on to a 4 hour roadtrip. But I soon found out while doing about 90 m/h and the panel came loose, and there was a rather lound sound of plastic rubbing blacktop under my truck :( . I was SURE that I had tightened them. but sure enough the bolts had come loose on there own. Luckily I had a coat hanger, that was able to temprarily secure it with until I hit civilization, and then I ended up having to find a slightly larger set of bolts to hold it up.
But moral of the story, travel with a coat hange... jk, be aware that this may occur.
