  1. I've got a similar rack... and to fit 4 boards it depends on the bindings you have on your boards.. meaning... in my case I use a flow binding so that board must be the board on top, as they don't really fold down, my wife on the the other hand uses regular snap n fold bindings, so if I put her board on the bottom facing down, and mine on top, and then something similar on the other side I can take 4...

OR worse case scenario, just remove the bindings of one board, put that on the bottom, and put them back when you get up there, and it'll work forsure. a bit of a hassle tho...

What I will pbly upgrade to is something like the Thule 575 Snowboard Racks http://pics.summitonline.com/23582.jpg. but as you mentioned, that only carries 2 boards, but if you get two of em your set, and you won't face the space limitations of the Thule Flat Top racks...

A buddy of mine has them on his 400h, 2 will fit.

  2. Hi,

I have aquired a new key from eBay as well for my 04 rx 330, I've had it laser cut, but now looking to program it, I tried the directions in http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...?showtopic=9509 but no luck...

Is there a different set of instructions that may work for the RX330? If someone could post them or send me in the right direction that would be great.

    http://www.toy-lex.com/programming.html

<_< I took a look at that site and then clicked on the link that is applicable for the 04 RX330, and the message is...

"Lexus Key and Remote Programming Instructions

    Key Programming

You can not program this key yourself. You will need to take your car and key to either the dealer or to a

local locksmith that has the Lexus programming software. "

  3. If it's only been a few days. and based on the fact that they specifically asked for PA. I would just talk to the sales guy, or perhaps the sales manager... Your relationship with the folks in question will play part here but the fact that you've bought 2 Lexi from these guys, they shouldbe willing to work something out for you... I really don't think you want to go down the path of having PA in$$talled...

  4. Pull the breather tube from the intake duct and see if you have some oil blow by going on. It sounds like you may just need to clean the breather tube and intake out.

thnx for the reply I'll give that a whirl..

below is another suggestion I had...

    brainzey,

Years ago my wife had a Cressida that had the same symptoms. Blue smoke on startup after the car had sat for a while. Otherwise you never saw the symptom at all. Over time it became worse. Toyota techs sourced the problem to worn/tired valve stem seals. Oil leaked down the valve stems into the combustion chambers and showed up after the car had sat overnight. During normal driving the leaks were so minute that no visible oil smoke could be seen. They removed the spark plugs, valve covers, etc., pumped each cylinder up with air(To keep the valves in the head) and then replaced the valve seals. Parts weren't expensive, but there was a fair amount of labour involved. Still, in our case, it was a fairly cheap fix that granted us several more years of trouble free motoring. Good Luck!

    Hmmm,

Thanks for the reply. That does sound like a feasible scenario... I'm hoping the labour won't be too bad. I've got a pretty good import mechanic I use when I can't do it my self. I think I'll mention this to him, get his thoughts, and an estimate... Hopefully its not my first born.

For the time being I think that its ok, as it is barley noticeable. What causes this? can it be caused by driving to hard ;) ?

  6. I've had my 04 RX 330, for about 2 yeards now, and its been running great. No complaints really. But I've noticed something. If I start up in the morning and don't warm up at all, and just pop it into reverse and I'm gone (i know i know, we should always warm up...) I've noticed some smoke. This is the not kind of smoke that is caused by exhaust in cold weather, but looks like oil burning smoke, that kind of lingers in the air. Which I've seen too much back in my uni dayz, when I was rolling in an 86 Honda CRX, that needed as much oil as gasolin to run optimlly.

If I warm up, for even a couple minutes I don't really see, or maybe just don't notice it. But my questioon to you is. Should I be concerned.

Other than that it runs great is serviced regualrly, and I've been checking the oil level regulry and it hasn't changed.

Admin feel free to delete this one, as I cross posted.

  8. Quick question - when you say press the garage door button - you mean the garage door remote? right?

    Correct.

I don't get the next sentence which seems is a repeat from the original instructions - I don't have a learn on my garage door opener - unless its the unit that actually opens the door but this doesn't make sense to me - can you clarify?

Yah had some fun with that instruction my self... Yes, that is talking about the "Physical' unit that opens the door. it may or may not have a "learn" button... in my case there was a red button, with a sticker on the side stating some directions something like 'how to program a new remote for this unit"

you'll have to figure out that piece on your own as it depends on you opener, and name brand... maybe google it, if its not obviuos. it may be once you take look B)

  9. Hey,

I'm also in canada. There is a slight variation, see below:

To delete, hold down the first and third buttons at the same time, hold for about 30-60 seconds till the light blinks really fast. Release and check if deleted if the light blinks at a slow but steady pace. That means there's nothing stored on that button)

Cycle the the garage door button (hold for 2 seconds, relase and hold for 2 seconds) do this repeatdly and hold the homelink button u want programmed. Once the light changes from a slow blinking light to a rapid blinking light, release both buttons. Then go to the garage door openner and (this is different for all garage door openners) push the "learn" button ONCE. Within 30 secs, press the same button u programmed 3 times, and it should work."

  10. I run my FWD RX 330 throught the winther here in Vancouver, Canada. We get a decent dump of snow... and it does pretty welll. I have a set of pretty decent winters I put on, and a set of (still in orig packing) chains that I bought for those "just in case" times, to my surprise actually I haven't even used them once. I go up the mountains, "Whistler + Cypress" to snow board all the time, and with the ECT on, it does amazingly well, compared to any other FWD, even in up to 8-10 inches of snow, I kid you not. I very was plesently surprised.

If the snow gets tooo deep then of course the 4WD will be optimal. But if you have your RX equiped with a decent set of winters, it is no slouch in the snow. Trust ME!

  11. press dvd, then upper left corner, lower left corner, upper left corner, lower left corner and lower right corner and the service menu pops up and you can press override which will allow you to use the nav while in motion.

    Ditto B)
