Right... but I'm just not sure if its the "Coolest Invention Ever! "

I've got a very nasty crackle coming from my passenger door speaker (assuming I've blown it)... and a bit of one coming from smaller front speaker next to the windshield...
Has any one gone through the process of replacing their ML speakers? Two questions:
- If so is this a relatively simple DYI?
- Did you use ML speakers as the replacement, or is there any after market speakers that you may recommend.
Cheers

lol what is with all of these secret menus...
A great thing about that secret menu with all the diagnostic stuff is that you can turn on the backup camera while your driving, makes you kind of dizzy but its always fun to see on the freeway
The name of the movie was "speed" I think. good movie

Woman Car, Man car whatever its a great ride. I've got a 08 X5, and an 04 RX330, and I must say, that the RX is a great ride, sure the X5 has more pep, but the RX is no slouch, and yes I bought it my self prior to the X5, and now my wife and I enjoy both. I put it in the same category as the X5.
If you want to purchase one, purchase it based on the facts, its a great BANG for the BUCK!!!

I went with some Kumho winter tires from a Firestone Dealer for about $1000 cdn installed onto my stock 18 inch rims... I was well impressed with the performance, as we just went through a snow fall of 2 feet, and it did great.
In the spring I am going to switch back to all seasons, which I already have for a cost of about $150 for the switch (including balancing...)
In my case I love the 18 inch rims too much, so paying for the $150 to switch is not a big deal as I would rather do that, than roll on some steal rims... (a bit of a style byte, in my opinion)

It's Manual... Only really meant to fold down if you are hauling something on your roof racks and it is in the way... other than that there is really no reason to put it down.

Anybody?!?!!?
I'm sure one of you exerienced Lexus owners has some idea...
-
Not sure, if it is a DYI job or not, you might want to Call Lexus for the part cost, and find out how much Labour they figure it is, jsut to give you an idea of how big a job it is.
Can't say I 've ever had to do such a repair my self.

Hello to all the lexus owners and fans out there. I recently bought a 1990 LS400 and it has been cranking fine. However when i got up to go get some lunch i jump in my car and it would not start or crank. I tried to jump it off thinking it was the battery and to no avail i still received nothing from my auto. all my instrument cluster lights come on like normal, my interior lights come on, my steering wheel still moves up and down like it should. I repeat when i turn to start the engine i get nothing no sound what so ever, not even the familiar "click-click" sound of a bad starter. please give me some direction in the matter cause as of right now i am totally lost!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like a faulty ignition switch.

Hi,
I reside in Canada and have a US import RX 330. Since I am in Canada I wanted to switch some of the default settings to be applicable to Canada. IE: default GPS zone, instead of miles use KMs during distance calculations, and Degrees Fahrenheit to Degrees Celsius.
Well the first two aren't that hard to do. But is there any way to switch the default temperature unit, as it remains in Degrees Fahrenheit, and I can't seem to see an obvious spot to change this.
Can this be done via one of the hack menus perhaps? Any help or direction is appreciated.
Cheers

Bainzey, you have a generation 2/3 navigation system, which never lost the override hack.
The OP has a 2009 RX350 with a Generation 5 system, which lost access to the override menu after 5.1. To regain this feature, he has to either use a 5.1 disc, or can use a hybrid 8.1/5.1 disc.
I've finally gotten the 8.1/5.1 disc to work with the generation 5 system.
Yup gen 3... IC, so it's not only the version of the dvd but rather the gen of the Nav System, in conjuction with that affects this... Interesting...

The override screen was taken out after version 5.1, so you would need to create and load a hybrid disc if you wished to use the override.
In my vehicle I upgraded to ver 7.1 last year and the hack still works...
All I have to do is...
press dvd, then upper left corner, lower left corner, upper left corner, lower left corner and lower right corner and the service menu pops up and you can press override which will allow you to use the nav while in motion

Thanks guys, I just placed an order for two Thule 575 Snowboard Carriers from Amazon:
Per Unit $107.10
Sub-Total $214.20 (Quantity: 2)
Shipping & Handling $11.16
Total Before Tax $225.36
Estimated Tax $18.84
Grand Total: $244.20
I'm going to attach both to my roof.
Now, I need to sell my Lexus Snowboard Rack and Adapter. Used only once, what a waste of money.
Cool. All this rack talk has got me itch'n to hit the slopes Whistler Blackcomb here I come!!
