  1. Does anyone know if you car make it so that the memory seats will change position while in drive? Thanks
  2. lol nice...im not even saying i believe it...its just i have heard very strong arguments for and against...and on one has really convinced me either way..whats why i started this subject anyways. and there was this one dude that made a car a few years back that used hydrolysis to make the hydrogen, and he ran it on that alone. but he died a few years ago and back when he made it gas was still $1.70 a gallon so no one cared.
  3. I dont think your getting the idea...but you can use pure hydrogen (and nothing else) to power a "normal" vehicle. If you dont believe me, search youtube for mythbusters run car on hydrogen. or something to that effect. They piped pure hydrogen into the carburetor and it ran just fine. (except for the backfire )
  4. And just a side note, the "running your car on water/hydrogen" thing uses electrolysis to "make" hydrogen from water, and then is run into you intake (past the sensor) so it burns with the gasoline. so your are actually burning the hydrogen, your not using it the way a fuel cell works
  5. Thats a really cool technology, and i think honda just came out with a car that uses that same type of idea. But wouldn't it make since if they used hydrogen as the fuel, so we could use it in "normal" cars? (i.e. not brand new electric cars) Apparently there are some guys in Cali that can covert any car to run on natural gas, and i think he said the highest price in the nation was like $2.30 a gallon and the lowest around .60. The only problem i see with that is that if enough ppl do it, (because of supply and demand), wouldn't those prices start to go up....just like gas did? (but then again, if that happened and we could produce the natural gas domestically, it seems the normal gas prices should drop...just a thought)
  6. Thats the thing...its proven you can run it on hydrogen...i guess the question is whether or not those devices can generate enough hydrogen to do any good, even when used with the gasoline..like some sort of injection type of thing.
  7. Hey, ok so ive been reading a a lot about running your car on hydrogen (some say water or HHO or w/e) and i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Ive read a ton about it and i cannot figure out if it is a scam or not. Some ppl say it works, and others either say its a scam, or "prove" it cant be done mathematically. I have not read ONE review of someone that has tried it, and says it does not work. If you don't know what I'm talking about visit Run car on water or just search "run car with water" on google Thanks
  8. Hey everyone, I want to get a new exhaust, and was wondering if anyone has an HKS Hi power exhaust and what they think of it. I'm open to suggestions as well. Thanks
  9. changing your oil CAN affect your mpg IF you change from standard oil to fully synthetic. not just a normal change with the same type of oil...but if you change types it can.
  10. well, i did, and unless i got some kind of "magic" mobil 1...i dont know what changed it, and from experience..with many different cars, i know that fuel system cleaner works when used properly
  11. are the 98 gs300's supposed to be lifetime? Thanks
  12. I have a 98 gs3, and i used to get 16-17.5 mpg (all city) and i have changed my spark plugs, added a K&N cold air intake, and changed my oil from regular castrol to mobil 1 synthetic and now i get 18.5-19.5, which in the long run saves me about a tank per month (used to fill up 1x a week, now about every 10-12 days) ...and thats $60! all said and done...from what i can tell, the biggest change came from the oil. i also recommend using some kind of fuel system cleaner...like stp...that seemed to help
  13. did i myself...and no to the transmission
  14. Hey all, ok i was just wondering why changing the engine oil would make my car shift smoother? All i know is that i went from w/e jiffy lube uses 2 mobil 1 synthetic, and now it shifts alot smoother. Thanks
  15. i had the same problem, and i fixed it by taking apart and cleaning the pads and the "anti-squeal" spacers behind the pads, and then applying a decent amount of brake lubricant (i used 2 packs... .98 a piece) between all the spacers.
  16. Hi everyone, I have been looking into getting the megan racing downpipe for my 98 gs300. The only thing that concerns me is that some ppl say that removing the cats will mess everything up, b/c the 02 sensor will give the wrong information. Does anyone know what will really happen? Thanks
  17. I have a 98 Gs300, and when I replaced some of the spark plugs I noticed a puddle of oil on/around the last 2 plugs. Any Idea what it is? A friend said head gasket leak, dad thought valve cover leak... Thanks
  18. I would really like a copy if at all possible. Please send it to fordsvtmfl@gmail.com Thanks!
  19. I just purchased bosch ir fusion plugs for my gs300. I thought i had done my research, but now everyone is saying to stay away from bosch. Should I install them? (I bought them online..dont know if i can return them.) and the reason I got new ones was b/c from what i can tell they have never been changed...150k thanks -preston
  20. Ok, so I cant seem to find any headers for the Gs300 besides OBX. (which im not to sure about) But I was wondering if anyone knows if I could use JVT headers for the Is300 and a Megan racing downpipe, (made for the Gs300) and if this would bolt up together without any major custom work. Thanks -Preston
  21. Thanks, one more question...any idea where the cheapest place on the web would be for a tanabe? the cheapest ive found is $565 at grip motorsports thanks
