  1. yea...i guess the moderator didnt like our argument or something...lol
  2. club lexus.com is a bit more what your looking for...
  3. yea...that sucks...i wish i could lower mine..but we have a really steep drive way and i have to work to not scrape my exhaust..let alone if it was lowered another 1" or so..
  4. My car has 150k and the transmission works great...no problems...and it has never been rebuilt or replaced.
  5. Love your ride, how much is it lowered?
  6. Yea, i have actually looked at those kits, and i might end up going that direction sometime soon...
  7. its just the es...but thats only if the previous owner didn't take care of it
  8. yes, same motor...but difference ecu, so they are a completely different setup, not the same kit, not the same price. trust me i did my research on them a few months ago, ive even email them some questions about the kits and they say they are different.
  9. so all that crap about being unsafe is a lie...its just about the money. a retired cop has even told me they have to give a certain number of tickets a month or they get penalized..
  10. oh, and something funny, my sister did a research paper in college on speeding and found out more ppl get in car wrecks that go the exact speed limit than those that go 5-15 over...
  11. yea they can, ive heard GA's laws are worse, but the enforcement here is kinda ridiculous...the only time i ever got pulled over was going down a big slope at 11 at night in the middle of nowhere and some cop was just sitting at the bottom ready to get whoever might be going 5 over...
  12. I guess it just seems that most are bad here in greenville....at least the traffic cops
  13. am i the only one that thinks alot of cops are just hypocrites? most cops i see that are just driving (ie not going any where important) go 10 - 15 over just cruising. and a cop almost hit my girlfriend a couple days ago, making a left turn at a light (he didnt have a green arrow) and she was going straight across the intersection...i mean ppl make mistakes..but i dont have any tolerance when cops make them, then turn around and give you a ticket for making the same mistake they just did...
  14. i think thats kinda ridiculous...and they wonder why ppl run...but w/e
  15. first off, no i do not and do not intend on street racing....but does anyone know what the penalty is in SC? I have heard you can lose your license/car/jail time etc... and is there a difference in "racing" someone from a stop light (like many ppl do once in awhile) and organized street racing, as far as the punishment goes? I ask this because i have been told if you are caught racing, you basically have no life for the next year (car wise that is :) ) but it just seems kind of strict for just a little stop light drag racing once in a blue moon, especially when you don't even go much over the speed limit! thanks
  16. Anybody have a 98+ turbo Gs300? Non - 2jzgte swap?
  17. Actually those kits are for the Is300 not the Gs300. They just redesigned their website and not all of it is up to date. The Gs300 kit starts at $4995 making about 275 rwhp, Stage 2 basically ads a intercooler and costs $5995, Stage 3 gets you 350 rwhp for $7500, and Stage 4 (in house installation only) can make up to 1000 rwhp, and call for pricing. I have been told for a turn key 2jzgte engine swap will cost just over 10k including labor. And the stock 2jzgte only makes 310 at the engine, so 250-270 rwhp? Unless I have been painfully misquoted on the swap, the Stage 3 sounds like the best deal by far. -Preston
  18. Hey guys, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. When i park my car in the street on a really hot day (90+) in direct sunlight, sometimes the driver door lock gets stuck, (i know about the actuator thing, one of my other locks doesn't work right, but this only happens when its really really hot, and only the driver side) also, for the first time the memory seats didn't work! kinda scared me, cause i really don't want to have to get that fixed, but the mirrors worked fine..so given a few min to cool off, everything works fine. Is this normal? thanks
  19. According to the owners manual...they are supposed to start squealing, but they are notorious for making that noise all the time, so it just kinda depends on the situation. so if they haven't been making a noise, and they start, time to change them. -preston
  20. yes its normal, pretty sure its the power steering. this will also happen if you turn the air conditioning on/off. -Preston
  21. in California, yea you will, but i live in sc and no they wouldn't care about that at all.
  22. just a random update on mileage...i just got back from a trip to atlanta and i got 24.5 mpg (i was doing about 75-80 most of the time, not counting the 30 min in stop and go traffic) how does this compare to other highway mpg's? thanks
  23. I'm not quite sure what your getting at...any part can fail, but on the 98+ models, you have to replace the fuel pump when you replace the filter, its like a 2-in-1 type thing, and its about $300 for the part, no labor. and the fuel pump is supposed to be life time. (this is what ive been told...im not 100% sure, b/c i just read it was was a 60k maintenance thing, and that the gas tank has to be removed in order to replace it...)
  24. I know its "lifetime" on the 1998+, but i dont know about the older model...
