  1. How do i synchronise between my garage door and the button on the roof of my ES350 ? Who is supposed to do it? Some outside elecrtical shop or the lexus service department? Do i just give them the garage door key and they install it in the car? Little help!
  2. Congratulations on your IS350 :) Lucky that you guys in the USA and practically any other country outside the arabian gulf have the option of an IS350 or an IS250 as here in the gulf we only get the IS300 :( Congrats on ur car... keep us updated on how well it performs!
  3. 43 views and no one has anything to say? Come on guys.... i dont have all summer.... i need to make this decision as soon as possible!
  4. I am right now going to buy the ES350 after exntensive research into car competitors in the same price range and saw that the ES350 was just too good to move away from. That said i am now not sure what to do, do i go for the 07 ES350 or do i wait for the 08 ES350 which until now in my country UAE they are saying it will arrive anywhere during october/november. The thing is there will be no change what so ever with the 08 and any defaults or problems with the 07 ones have been rectified as the lexus delear here gets a brand new shipment around twice a month. So the ES wether its 07 or 08 wont have a single diffrence between them except offcourse that one has 08 on it while the other has 07. What is the best thing to do? I am so anxious to buy the car i cant wait another 3-4 months to get it? or do i hold down on myself and wait for the 08. What do you guys think? Give reasons to your suggestions or oppinion please. Thankyou, ZeeD
  5. I dont get these guys who compare the ES350 to the camry...... It has nothing to do with the camry, everything feels more premium and diffrent. For god sakes anyone of you try holding the door of a camry then hold the door of the ES... The ES's door is MUCH heavier where the camry feels like plastic... the interior of the ES feels more luxurious where the camry feels down right to earth cheap. Also the engines of the LEXUS feels more powerful and the feeling you get when driving it is unqiue, the fact that in an ES you are isolated from the outside as opposed to the camry is enough prove they have nothing to do with each other. It's like saying the Nissan Z is like the INFINITI G35 Coupe..... or the QX is like the Armada... People who compare an ES350 to a camry could either be people who cant afford it or feel sorry that they did not own it and so compare it to a camry.
  6. For the 2 guys with the dark red ES350 with Alloy Rims...... Sexyyyyyyyyyy
  7. You guys have been too harsh.. Jobyfreddel there is absoultly nothing wrong with your brakes, if anything you should be happy and enjoying the feel of technology under the soul of your feet. This is the first time you had ABS let alone felt what assited brake feels like in addition to the hydrolic brakes now a days applied. I know where you are coming from, this will be your first new car but in the past you had other cars which were either too old or too basic and where the brakes there would be judged by how hard the pad was than how easy it is. Thats exactly how ABS works, what happens is within normal crusing/driving when you hit the breaks gently the car stops on its own pace but when you "Mash" the breaks you start to feel on the brake pad a sort of hard vibrating which extends to all the 4 tyres as if its continuous multiple knocks, thats a normal feeling for ABS. Also if the breaks feel a little to easy thats just because they added Brake Assit, the aim is to make pressing the brakes more easier than difficult. Hope i satisified you! Cause its extremly unlikely that a brake issue would pass the PDA approval, cause prior to delivering they test all of these aspects!
  8. Thankyou for the reply :) I live in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates which is in the middle east, and i feel very optimistic about the ES350 i think it will be a great car for value and to be hounest the options on it are just too good to look away from. Can anyone tell me how a front wheel drive differs from a rear wheel drive, as a FWD being an advantage on the snow does not really apply to me cause we dont have snow here just sands and roads :P. Are FWD good on speed turns or bend overs on the road? Cause im worried that the car would not be able to turn at 140km on a road which turns right. What do you guys here who own the ES350 think of it? I want your inital thoughts of the car and the long term thoughts as i am 80% sure that i will buy the ES350.
  9. I am right now planning to buy a car and i have been left with 2 choices the LEXUS ES350 and the JEEP Grand Cherokee HEMI. I know these 2 cars cannot be compared but the price tag on them is the same, atleast where i live. So today i test drove the Lexus ES350 and what i could not stand was the torque steer when i applied a full acceleration, it was just rediciculous, i could see the traction sign on the speedometer, that to be hounest is why i am worried of getting the ES.... I am thinking of the IS but the IS is just too small for me as i am a tall guy (187cm) and the GS is just above what i am willing to pay and frankely speaking i like the ES more cause its spacious but this front wheel drive is killing me. So can those who have an ES help me out here and tell me how the drive of the car is especially its acceleration and top speed. Also if anyone can give me a list of front wheel drive cars so i can be able to compare the ES to it, for example is the toyota Avalon the ES's rival a front or rear wheel drive?
