good point quack...if u have something else wired into ur ignition like a fan or stereo or something it might let power go through, if u have had no work done to ur car and it just started doing this then i would say its ur ignition switch
-
for it to still be running that means u have power to the coils..i say ignition switch
-
ignition switch?
-
nice! glad u got this resolved
-
you are about to make a huge mistake, first of all just because it blows hot air doesnt necessarily mean ur compressor is the culprit or the only culprit...u can have a leak from anywhere...expansion valve, shrader valve, evaporator, reciever drier etc,etc...also ur system has to be vacuumed out to get all the moisture from the system or the contaminants will ruin any new components, here is what u need to do...take it to a shop that does a/c work and have them do a systems check on it to determine what is exactly wrong with it,if u have the knowledge to do this work then by all means go for it,but do not just replace ur compressor and thing things are going to work fine after that
-
u will need the connectors for the sensors as well, personally i would have had a shop do a diagnostic on the car before i just pulled the trigger on the sensors,u know there are 2 camshaft sensors dont you

well i hate to burst ur bubble here but mobile 1 isnt even in the top 5 motor oils, valvoline and amsoil are among the best syn. oils on the market, mobil 1 is much like fram filters...they are not that good but spend a lot of money in marketing, but if u want the best filters go to napa and get a filter made by wix and oil made by amsoil, valvoline or even royal purple, the only advantage synthetic oil has is it doesnt break down like conventional oil
-
you start removing electrical components while the car is running u can and will short things out like the ecu....this isnt your 1960's car with nothing but an alternator, voltage regulator and a battery
-
u should have had the "no rpm signal" cel on

fire off an email to this guy, he is a guru on these things
-
2 causes of this condition...fuel or vacuum leak...no cel?a bad iac valve will cause sporatic idle, surging low then high, but i have yet to see cause a no idle situation
-
it needs some megans ;)

u can get a strut tower bar for a mk4 supra 1993 and up off ebay

God I hate wasting time dealing with Trolls...
On topic though, I think that new stock lenses will help a lot for those that want better performance. The mid-90's plastic yellows like crazy and disperses the light effectively from the bulbs. People clean the outside, but I bet the cross section of the plastic would show the same aging changes to the optical substrate. Just a thought.
Yes it is me... get it Jcrome0Troll?
wow....dont be so harsh im sure he was only pokin fun,is that one of the great lakes? one of my ex gf's lives in parma ohio so i know it gets really cold in that area
