Is there any other way that we could become a gold member without using a credit card cause i don't like to use any of my cards on line. Not that i don't trust you ;) it is just that my husband was a victim of identity theft and i just don't use them on line cause i don't fill safe. :(

Hi ALL, my first post/reply but I have been reading the forums all month for suggestions & enlightenment. Just last week I had my f&r valve cover gaskets, PCV valve, fuel filter and spark plugs changed all at one time (mainly bc of the leaking gaskets). Cost me $330 total at an outside mechanic shop. While driving home the check engine light came on. Took the car back to them and they say it has an EGR air flow sensor prroblem (didn't ask for the code).. $180 to fix it. I called Lexus dealership and they say I don't have that sensor in my 95 ES300. ??? Took the car to Autozone and they say it's the P0401 EGR Insufficient flow code. Autozone suggested I try cleaning the EGR valve first before installing a new one. My question is, could the mechanic shop who worked on my gaskets caused the EGR valve problem or is it a common problem after changing VC gaskets? Thanks for your replies.

Hello All,
I bought a 96 ES300 in early Sept. I got my oil changed and the next day I noticed an oil leak. I took it back to the place where I had it changed and they told me that they had taken care of it. Well the car still leaked and even worse now. So I took it to a good mechanic who told me that it was my valve cover gaskets.
He said that it would be best to fix the ones in front and remove the manifold to get the ones in the rear.I was burning oil and could see it while sitting at stoplights. He quoted me a price of $287.00 . I took it back to the dealer since I had the car for such a short period of time. He apologized for the problem and had his mechanic fix the problem. He charged me $125.00 I think I made out OK. Does anyone else have any thoughts?

No one's playing the innocent victim here. The fact of the matter is that you've fabricated statements that you attributed to me, called me names, tossed out insults, and even gone back into your post and altered some of the original insulting wording that you originally posted at 1:30 pm today (site time) because you probably felt a legal need to tone down the original insult towards me. Shame on you - that's a feature you possess as an administrator, but you abused it in this case. I witnessed your wording as you originally wrote it, and by the way, so did others on this site who e-mailed me with notes of gratitude this afternoon for saying what I said.
Like it or not, you ARE young and inexperienced. That's perfectly okay, so was I at 23, just as everyone is. We all gain experience and our judgment typically improves as we get older and wiser. That's not discrimination, that's life. I accept your "youthful exhuberance". What I don't accept is your tendency to vent your anger childishly and your absolute dishonesty with me. That's simply inexcusable at any age.
Ok i should not butt in, but here is my 2 cents anyway. I don't think that Steve is inexperienced. I do think that it is discrimination when you judge someone by their age. It is not right. I thought Steve was a lot older then 23 (no offense Steve i never seen you so i had no idea). I think that he is a very bright person and i also think that all he did was show proof about the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I don't like them either, but i did not post it cause i knew that something like this would happen. I might have missed some things that he edited (like you said
), but that still don't give you the right to pick at him just because of his age. I know i would have got mad as well. I don't mean to offend anyone here i just thought that i would write my 2 cents because it would make me very angry if someone picked at me cause of my age. I know i hated it when i was a child and the older kids would tell me that i was not old enough to understand and believe me i was the smarter one of the bunch.

My siblings and I don't like mint flavored things, so I can blame it on genetics. lol The All Abouts are the best!! :D

i have a 5 year old American Bulldog...110lbs of Muscle. her name is Chancie. shes a very good dong, protective, but always ready to go for a ride in the car (not mine of course LOL!) she has had surgery to rpair two broken knees...one from sliding into a fence when we lived in anchorage and one from falling down a set fo stairs...we are very carflu withher now.
she stil runs aroudn the house at 20MPH tho! lol. shes a very strong dog, and just plain loveabe. shed sit in my lap right now if i let her.
My doberman loves to sit on my lap. He is just to big for it. LOL
If you have any pictures of Chancie i would love to see her.
im sure i do, somewheres lol, lemmie check...

These are my two favorite pooches. They belong to my daughter & son-in-law, and live in Minnetonka, MN. Their names are Webby & Blade. Webby is on the left.
Edit: Webby is a Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen & Blade is a Jack Russell Terrier. They're both very playful and happy doggies. :D

I forget if it was here or on CL where a guy was complaining about a hissing sound under the dashboard. Evertime he turned a corner the hissing started again.
Upon inspection, it was his bottle of Dr. Pepper under the seat. The cap was not completely on tight.
