I just ordered mine in chrome before getting them powder coated cause I want to see them on mine first before I have it done. I'm 99% sure I'm going to have them powdercoated, but I figured I take some before and then some after. Mine is blue though, so its up to you. I like to be different also, I say powdercoated. Just make sure they have a deep lip for the chrome. B)

There are all kinds of places to get a good deal on 20's. You just need to do your homework and put in the time to look. I found mine in the Dupont Registry, but had my buddy thats a manager at discount tire to order mine at cost through him. Not to sound pessimistic, but you never know if you'll have the same girlfriend when you get the car. Then you're paying for them in full. Just a thought! Using different diameter wheels or tires can affect the traction control and ABS systems, however. So, would it be safe to say you should turn off the traction in the summer when rolling ur 20's?

Hmmmm, I like it. Not so big on the skirts with the vents in it. But the front and rear bumpers are tight, IMO. I think I might get the front and rear for mine, and get plain skirts for the sides. Looks sweet to me. KJ

I have a question, who buys a Lexus without a garage? Mine is never left anywhere that anyone can mess with it, but thats just me and my pickiness. Doesn't matter to me badgeless vs not. But if ur reason is cause you are afraid of someone stealing ur emblems, which I know does happen from time to time. You shouldn't own a lexus if you have to worry about what someone will do it, I love my car too much and I would worry all the time, just wouldn't be worth it to me to have to stress 24/7 about my car. IMO KJ

I know its preference mostly, but I am an avid promoter of Michelin Pilot Sports. Best tire IMO.

Um, I'm on my sixth lexus and my current is a 99 GS400 and I have never heard of anything like that being a COMMON problem. I know this sounds bad and I'd hate to see those kind of people working there, but sometimes someone might tell you what you want to hear cause they can't reproduce the same thing as you state is happening. I have never heard of it, but it might be something specific with ur car for some reason. I'm sure other members will be able to give you a better idea. Sorry for the issue and welcome to the board! I bought some for my SC400, but that is gone now with my GS400 replacing her. I asked Lexus here to install them, they said they're stock in the GS4 and last 120k. So now I have an extra set sitting here. Anyone interested, let me know.
