  1. I live by the motto of, "You get what you pay for." If you put the right aftermarket parts on your car, you won't have the problems it sounds like you had with your Honda. I"m going TRD and L-Tuned for my supension upgrades. There are a lot more peeps on the board that give you a lot better advice as to what parts to get for your GS. Good luck and welcome to the board. KJ
  2. All are made in Japan. And all say toyota on the glass as SKperformance has already stated.
  3. I bet he's white with his hat sideways bumping to Eminem all day. And hes only 16
  4. Ok, guys, I took this pic with my camera phone, so still not the best quality. I will use my digi as soon as I can find it and post a couple more. As you might be able to tell from the pic I posted, I need to drop it an inch, need suggestions on suspension, ie which springs to go with since LSportline is gone now. Thanks guys! KJ
  5. Congrats first of all on your new car. 18 yrs old? Good luck finding a cheap insurance company with that car and your age. Sorry, don't mean to be pessimistic, but next time I would research your insurance cost on your future cars. I would try to stay on your parents policy if you can, and make one of your parents the primary driver of the vehicle, if they're cool like that. So your insurance will be lower. We all go through it at that age, us guys anyways, we always get raped on insurance when we're young, something about us driving fast or something. Good luck! KJ
  6. Hence why no feedback, sorry guys, was on the road when i did this, Just nix this thread then. I'll repost. Thanks Matt!
  7. Can anyone see the Pic? I see a lot of views, but no feedback. I know the pic isn't the best, will do more when I get home.
  8. Hey all, this pic isn't as good cause I was too lazy to go find my digital camera. So I will take more and post later. But you should be able to get the idea. These are Lowenharts LD1's, 20x10's in the rear, and 20x9's in the front. Next is suspension. Definitely needs at least an inch drop. Let me know everyone thinks! Oh, btw, sorry for the attachement, but can't remember my password to login into the gallery to post pic in there. Just click download file after clicking on link, sorry guys. getmsg_1_.28_start_38767_len_58839_mimepart_3_vscan_scan
  9. Hey guys. I have a 99 GS4 with the Nakamichi. It has all three knobs for bass/mid/treble. The big knob on the left is just volume, not multifunction. I don't have Nav as I wanted the Nakamichi. Hope this helps. KJ
  10. The reason your parents had a problem with their ML is because they are all assembled here in the US, Alabama to be exact. Engines are made in Germany and shipped to US for assembly. I have a 94 S500 Coupe as well so I am very familiar with the maintenance. Since you are currently a Benz owner, ever heard the term maintenance !Removed!? I love Mercedes, but I can't stand the minimum $1k it cost when something happens. If you can afford an E55, be ready to spend some money on the car. Especially if you're buying a used one, scheduled maintenances and such depending on the current mileage. I'm on my sixth lexus cause they are my daily drivers, why? Its basically a Toyota. (Sorry fellow Lexus owners, I know we hate that) But its true. Sure, the costs are a little higher than avg for scheduled maintenance. But my 80k only cost me $695 for my GS at my local Lexus dealership. Personally, I don't think its fair to compare the two, but if you can afford the maintenance, by all means get the E55. "Lifes too short to drive an ordinary car". (Sorry for the long post guys!)
  11. Millen IS430 Just in case you guys wanted to read the article I spoke of earlier.
  12. Found it! Sorry if eveyrone has already seen it, this is my first. I'm not sold on the rear. New Lexus GS body style
  13. But I cannot find any new pics of the new GS. I went through the whole site and found nothing. Anyone seen what the new style looks like? ;) KJ
  14. New Lexus LF-C Sport Coupe Concept from NY auto show.
  15. How did you pay? If by credit card, you can call your credit card company and file a dispute, the credit card company will issue a charge back if that wheel company cannot prove to the credit card company that they are not at fault. Hence, you will get your money back no matter what they say about restocking fee.
  16. Well, I've been watching this since last year when Car n Driver, one of the major mags, had one of those photos of a secret IS being tested in Germany. At the time they speculated it was a 430 because the engine bay is big enough and it was rumored then only in the magazine cause I hounded the web looking for it. Since then, Millen racing actually did it, non Lexus sponsored, just to prove a point. It was on TV not too long ago. Kind of a teaser if you ask me. 06? Thats too long, I hope it comes sooner, cause I think it will be behind the curve in two years, they need to release it asap. Its supposed to compete with the S4 and M3, so has the rumor said. I can't wait! KJ
  17. Well, I have a GS4 and I live in Colorado Springs which is higher than Denver in altitude and I drive mine year round. I don't try to go out if I don't have too. But If i'm at work or out and get caught in the snow, I have no worries about getting back home. Now Ice is a different story, but few cars handle well on ice anyways. I also used my Continental Conti's this whole winter as well and I go snowboarding on a regular basis. I've had many Lexus's in different years and models, this is the best Lexus I've driven in the snow yet. But again, I avoid it all costs, road rash. KJ
  18. :o Sweet! I hope my blue GS looks that good when I'm done with her. I'm diggin the new tailights.
  19. Thanks Neo and Steve! Just got back from my condo in Breckenridge and got ur posts. I really appreciate it!
  20. I just called Lsportline to order the brake kit, and its no more. I'm bummed as I wanted the blue calipers also to match my blue GS4. Not sure if anyone else know this, but the exhaust is no longer made anymore either. Anyone have suggestions for the brake kit now as I'm sitting here wondering what I'm goin to do now. Thanks Guys! Oh, btw, got the tint done a few weeks ago and my first pic of car is up now, I'm just plain lazy.
  21. Well, I owned my own business brokering high end cars before 9/11 put me out of business. (High end cars are accessories, not necessities) Any car not stock is always a challenge to sell. First you have to find a buyer that likes your car. Then, you have to find a buyer that will pay what you are willing to settle for. Thats the kicker. Finding a buyer isn't always hard, getting what you'll settle for is the hard part. We just bought a 91 NSX on ebay from another broker in Florida. Got a good deal on it, but we were the buyer, not the seller. People on Ebay are looking for a good deal, period. The best idea though I've seen so far is putting it on ebay, make sure theres a reserve, and seeing how high it will go. You'll spend a fee for the first listing, but a small price to pay to get an idea what your car is worth. The reason you're not getting a specific price from anyone on what your car is worth, is because noone knows because of the mods. It matters what its worth to someone who is willing to buy it and what you are willing to sell it for. Thats your price. As previously stated, welcome to the world of modding cars. We all have this problem. ;)
  22. I put in my 12in Boston Pro sub with my competition series Zapco amp. Thats all I wanted, I left the head unit alone. Better resale anyways.
  23. Not sure where that info came from. Their website is still up and I just spoke with them this week about a set of wheels, they didn't say anything about not being in business anymore. http://www.lsportline.com/main.asp
