  1. Yes, I know you can see the display, but then I can't see my average miles per gallon. I just wish it would mute the whole damn radio. I had it all the way at 7 for the volume and still you can't really hear it with the radio on. Its defintely different then, at 36, its not very loud, into the 40's it starts to get loud. I can't use the screen because that interupts me from looking at the cool diagram showing me where the power is coming from. You know the one with the arrows on it. I think thats the coolest feature of the car, my wife gets so annoyed when I look at that screen. Rock On B) You know you can get almost the same info displayed to you on the speedo LCD... hit DISP on the steering wheel a few times, you will find it. The best part is your wife will never know that you are looking at it :whistles:

  3. Well I don't play the radio that loud, volume around 36 or so. And while the radio gets slightly softer, maybe the one speaker going out, its still amost impossible to hear.
  4. Possibly but it is factory in Japan. I suspect they figured american drivers wouldn't like it. I for one would like better mileage. C'mon now, how many Priuses are so loud that they would awaken the neighbors? We're not talking about a souped-up muscle car here! I would suspect that this device would certainly void the warranty.
  5. Has anyone got the electric only mode to work in the 400h, I'm assuming if the prius can do it as in the below link that the rx400h should do it too. http://www.coastaletech.com/electric_only_mode.htm
  6. I have the nav volume set to around 5 and have the adaptive volume on. I also have the asl set on the radio. Shouldn't the navi mute the radio when it gives directions or at least be smart enough to know that it needs to speak louder? What are my options, not use the radio when I use nav or turn up the volume to 7 on nav so it blasts me out of the car when the radio is turned down? There has to be a better way :)
  7. I know the 400h has good performance but was wondering if there are any performance enhancing parts available for it? Maybe another 30 horsepower or so.
  8. Well , It seems our 400h that we just got with 22K miles has the rattles too. I'm not sure if its the same as what you guys are describing. I kinda here like a faint metallic sound, seems more like maybe its the roof rack or something. Thats what I hear when driving normally, quite annoying with the radio off since I can't hear the middle frequencies well but hear like a dog in the higher squeak frequencies. I also seem to have an air leak or something when driving on the highway. Its not normal wind noise, its a little louder, like the rear hatch isn't completely sealed or something, any thoughts on this?
  9. But if you leave it sitting in ready, the engine will cycle on and off to charge the battery won't it? I have watched a dvd for over an hour in a garden centre carpark while waiting for my wife :) I left it set in Ready so big high power battery charged the 12v aux battery. The engine never started up in that time. BUT I left the switch in the aux position with a door open while I was checking out my trailer socket. The battery was flat after approx 1 hour! I would always keep it on "READY" when udio
  10. Well I thought the dealer might be a off on that. So what does the switch do? It just turns on the 110 volt outlet and thats it? quote name='jerryray' date='Nov 23 2006, 11:40 PM' post='216273'] Huh, really, the 110volt inverter has nothing to do with the 12v accessory plug on the other side. Completely separate...
  11. Does the Samsung Tmobile Trace t519 phone work well with the 2006 rx400? Will it do all the features, it isn't listed on lexus site. Maybe too new.
  12. If I want to sit on my lunch hour and watch a dvd with the key on acc mode as I don't want the engine cycling on while sitting in the parking garage, will the battery last for an hour or will it die? Especially if I watch up front through the Mark Levinson system.
  13. Does the rear entertainment system play mp3's. I understand that the front audio with ML or not will not play mp3's. But since the rear plays dvd-r's. I figured it might play Mp3's. Also, where do you keep your remote for the system? Mine is in the rear armrest but it rattles. And are the wireless headphones supposed to make a hissing noise when you turn them on and nothing is coming through or when the sound is pretty low? Is there any adjustments?
  14. Running it through the power port doesn't put a strain on the system? What if you that switch up front that does the 110 volts? My dealer said it switches all the 12 volts to 110 volts. Won't that fry your subwoofer?
