I recently had my oil changed and brakes checked. The mechanic told me that I had about 40% of brake pad wear left and I wouldn't really need to change my brake pads for another month or two. My issue is that everytime I'm ridin' fast or brake suddenly my brake indicator(i.e. the indicator located under the speedometer that comes on after you put the parking brake up) comes on for a few seconds then goes off(Please keep in mind that my parking brake is down!!!). I wanted to know if this means that I should change my brake pads immediately and then the indicator will stopping going on/off or it is something more serious?? Please HELP!!
thanks in advance yall
I own a '00 SC400 fully loaded w/ a Nakamichi system and I just wanted to know since I blew out my stock subwoofer(middle speaker in the back above the back seats) can I just simply purchase a 12" or 15'' kicker or other miscelleanous brand?? Will the stock Lexus amp be able to push it? If not, what amp would be a perfect fit?? Please help!! :whistles:
I really appreciate that info and I plan on doing much more research before I invest any G'z into my 400. My car is pretty much stock(except for the 20" rims) with approx. 41K miles so it really is barely broken in but I've noticed that it could be much faster than 290hp and I would like to achieve it the natural way then maybe a year or 2 from now Supercharge it!!!
many thanks
:)
I just purchased a used '00 SC400 not to long ago and I'm very interested in making a few modest upgrades(i.e. headers, exhaust, ECU, suspension/coilovers, brakes/rotors, etc..). Any suggestions??
yep that's what it is and I should know b/c it happened to the passenger side door on my 400 a few months ago and cost me damn near $350(labor included) just for that little clip from the Lexus dealership. The parts guy told me that the actual clip cost much less but the labor costs of pulling my door apart is what made it so expensive.
