  1. I heard that Landcruiser part is cheaper also. Thi
  2. I checked the fluild level when the engine is running and the transmission is in neutral and park positions.
  3. I just drain and fill the transmission fluild on my LX 450. The service manual states that it takes 2.1 qts when drain and refill. I put in 2.5 qts, but it's way below the cold level. I drove it and rechecked, but it's at or little below the cold level when the fluid is hot. I put in the rest of the 3rd qt and it's still not at the full level. Does anyone experience the same symptom? Thi
  4. I have looked for Mothers Plastic Polish in Autozone, Advanced Parts, Pep Boys, Kragens and found none. Where I you buy the stuff? Thanks.
  5. It's a long shot, but have you tried replace the oil and the oil filter? Thi
  6. I'll find and buy some of the stuff that you recommend. Thanks. Thi Update: I could not find any of the Mothers Plastic Polish yet, but I found a Meguiar's Clear Plastic Polish. I helps a lot but did not remove them completely. I'll try again and look for some Mothers stuff.
  7. Must be a mighty sneeze B) I used some plastic polish 2000 something (in green bottle) in order to clean the spots. It helps a little. I could not get rid of them all though. Thi
  8. There were a few small white/cloudy spots on the clear instrument panel in my car. I used water but I could not clean them out; so I used some Windex, but it's getting worse. They look similar to water spot. Does anyone have a similar problem and how do you get rid of them? Thanks. Thi
  9. Today I folded down the lamps and that made a big different in the AC performance. Thanks for the info Will. Thi
  10. I need to remove the lights in front of the grill. Too bad, I like the lights. Thanks for your information. Thi
  11. So with your 97 Landcruiser, did you ever get the problem fix? I brought it to Lexus dealer; they tried their best, but could not duplicate the problem. It seems to happen only on very hot day and while driving. For testing purpose, I plan to remove temporarily the coolant temperature sensor when the AC cuts out. I don't know if the switch is bad or the AC is so sensitive to a little heat increase. That's interesting. My car has big Hella lights mounted in front of the grill! It did have overheat problem, but we replaced the thermostat and flush cooling the system. Most of the time, the temperature is just a little below the middle of the scale. I learned that in the 470 series, they put in electric AC fan. Your information is very useful. Thanks.
  12. The AC on my 97 LX 450 seems to cut out when the outside temperature is in the 90+. It seems as if the problem is related to the engine temperature. Usually the temperature gauge's needle is slightly below the middle. When the AC cuts out, the needle is very slightly above the middle. Does anyone experience the same problem? If you know of a fix for it, please let me know. Usually, where does your vehicle's temperature gauge's needle point at (in scale from 1 bottom to 10 top)?
  13. Thanks Biaggi for the very useful information. I was able to purchase and program the remote for my car. WXM, the little button is located behind a black tie wrap that is used to secure the little black box. Use a needle plier in order to loosen the tie wrap.
