  1. I plan on selling all 5 1996 LX450 stock rims with used tires as soon as I pick up my new rims and tires this week! I'm up for offers so email me at biaggi @ nc.rr.com and if you are still wanting a set. The tires on them now have about 10+k miles left on them and the spare tire has never been used since I bought it in 2002. -Thanks! I got my new rims and these are for sale $600 for all.

  3. Ok guys/gals, If I were to upgrade to larger wheels, what rim specs and tire size will I need that will not effect the speedometer? For example: Rim | lug pattern and offset? | Tire size? 16" __________ 275/70/16 17" __________ _________ 18" __________ _________ 19" __________ _________ 20" __________ _________ etc.... Thanks in advance
  4. Man you guys are lame... over 20 views and no replies.... c'mon guys/gals... I thought this is a HELP FORUM.... Dunno about the NAV but the DVD system is in the rear....Open the rear hatch, on the right side there is a plastic piece that you need to open, DVD player is there. You will probably have to drop the third seat flat on the right side to get to it. Good luck!
  5. Ok Guys... Thanks for the no response... I'd figure there would be a Lexus Tech lurking around, but I'll try to disclose all knowledge I have.... My wife took the LX to the dealer and they stated that this is a common problem with the LX450's. That the catalytic converter registers false readings when in frigid temperatures. He checked the codes and also the cat and verified that all is fine. So he just reset the codes. SOOOO if you have a check engine light come on, it could be the 2 reasons stated in the previous post or a false reading on the cats in cold temps (below 30 degrees ambient) I haven't seen any Service Bulletins or Recalls about this but I believe the service tech at Johnson's Lexus in Raleigh. C'mon guys... lets make this forum help us!!! Try to post something useful when you find things out! Thanks,
  6. Ok, Does anyone know how to diagnose the problem with the Check Engine light? From the owners manual, it states that if the Cehck Engine light comes on it (1) is out of gas or (2) there is an electrical issue. Since I have a full tank, I suspect #2. My LX has 100,600 miles on it and I just recently changed the oil. After about 20 minutes of driving, the check engine light came on. Any help? Thanks in advance,
  7. I have a 96 LX450 and just bought a new Britax Marathon baby seat that came with the new legislated Latch restraint buckles... The question is does anyone know where I can get the harnesses/buckles for the middle seat of my LX? or if anyone has these buckles and have no babies... can you take a look to see if they are easily removed? They look like a female buckle clip that takes a thin .5 inch wide buckle clip.. There should be 2 female buckles on each side for a baby seat.... If you don't need them I'll buy them off ya.... Thanks, email Biaggi@iwon.com
  8. :P I just found out out to do it! it took 2 minutes. There is a small black box under the driver seat that controls the anti-theft device. There is a manual reset button and you have to use the master key on ON and then reset the green button. Then the alarm resets itself and unlocks and locks the doors and flashes the parking lights. At that moment hit the first button on the FOB and whalllah...you in like Flynn.... It was a !Removed! attemtping to decipher the correct repogrogram method like inserting the key to the off to on position 8 times to reset the ECU- similar to how Nissans reprogram their fobs. Needless to say it didn't work for the Lexus. Moral of the story: There is always a way to do things, it just takes finding the solution.
  9. :?: Does anyone know the sequence of instructions on how to reprogram a keyless remote fob? I have a 1996 LX450 and just bought a remote off of Ebay. Thanks,
