No, How do you vaccuum the line? Is it easy to do myself?

Hey guys, I noticed my AC was blowing out hot air so I tried filling it back up with AC refigerant. I bought the refigerant at an Auto Zone. It came with a trigger, hose and a gauge to measure the AC fluid level. I connected the hose to the LOW Pressure Vavle and noticed that the freon was going in then all of a sudden, the gauge dropped back down to it's original level of indicating low AC levels. My dad said it was possible that the AC pipes on the truck are filled up with air and needs to be vaccuumed. I also noticed there was a third valve on the compressoer. Does anyone know what this valve is. I know it's not the high pressure. Any suggestions on what I can do fix the problem? Thanks

Do you have an LX450 or LX470? I have clear turn signals on my 97 LX450. I got them from E-Bay. You have to search under "landcruiser" or "land cruiser". People list their items one way or the other. You can also type in "turn signal" after landcruiser. Some people don't realize to mention LX450. I have also seen people sell imported clear tail lights as well, but chose to stick with the OEM. Hope this helps...

Hey dougjohn, I noticed in your profile, you put down that you have an lx450 built for off-road. what size of tires did you put on and did you add a lift kit? just curious. I want to put wider tires on my truck, but dont know how wide I can go without rubbing up on the wheel wells and fenders.

I would actually like to take all the flares of and get them painted to match the color of the truck. I don't like the two-toned look of black on top and gary on the bottom. How does it look without the flares?

When I held the two steering wheels together (factory and after-market), you could tell that the mounting bracket was different on both. Unless, they just sent me a wrong model. I was able to return it and get my money back atleast.

I'm having trouble with my starter. I'll try and check to see if the connectors are dirty as described by some of the other members in this forum, rather than buying a new starter. But, if I do need to replace it, the guy at an Auto Zone store asked me if I had the starter with the cold climate package or the one without a cold climate package. Does anyone know what he's talking about? I own a 97 LX450. Any input would help. thanks guys

FYI, I ordered the steering wheel just to give it a try and it didn't fit.

The reason I ask is, because I'm looking to order a steering wheel which is part burlwood and part leather. It is by the company stwheel.com. You should check it out. They are really nice steering wheels. They have one that is made for land cruisers which, I assume would fit Lexus models as well. I just want to make sure they can be interchangable, before I order it.

Does any one know if I can change my steering wheel for my 97 LX450 with one that is designed for a 97 Land Cruiser. I would appreciate any comments?
