  1. Thank you,Steviej! I have been waiting for the reply.
  2. Hi, The 99 ES300 owner manual recomend "Dexron III" lead me to fill Valvoline Max in to my trasmision. After everything done, I saw the dipstick say "TOYOTA TYPE IV." - Should I stay with the Valvoline? - Drain and Fill with Toyota T IV to minimize the Valvoline? If I do it, will it do something wrong to the trasmision? I have this question since some body say that replace all the fluid at the same time may clean the old stuff from the trany and produce clog. - Do you know why the Owner manual say "Dexron III" when the dipstick say "Toyota T IV?" I will search the forum, but since I scare of driving my car now, a quick advice is very apreciate. Thank you in advanced.
  3. I had the same question before. Here is what I did: - Go to Toyota dealer, test drive the top Camry V6 (XLE?) - Go to Lexus dealer, test drive the ES300. Good luck!
  4. Hi, I would like to buy a front-low engine mount. 1. Is there any of you use the one from Ebay? Opinion, please! 2. If I go to Autopart, Autozone,... the mount I buy will be the same with the one from Ebay ( No fluid filled. ) Is that right? 3. The online store give me two options: Variable timing or W/O Variable timing. For a 99 ES300, which one is right? I email the seller yesterday but have not receive the answer. Thank you,
  5. Hi, The Ebay seller say the part is OEM, how to figure out it is true? Thanks,
  6. Hi, If I use a set of 17 IS300 wheels (ofset=50) for 99 ES300 (ofset45), do I have to use spacers? I do not care about the sporty look. Thanks,
  7. I actualy have the set of lug nut which come with the aftermarket wheels. Those nuts only let me turn 5-6 rounds on when mounting the aftermarket wheels. My best bet now maybe stay with the OEM wheels. I am looking at some set of IS300 wheels on Ebay now. Thanks for your help!
  8. Hi, I would like to buy a set of aftermarket wheel for my 99 ES300. Since I have a set of aftermarket wheel, which I use for my 2001 Honda Accord, I tried them on the ES300 before ordering them, and then I figure out there was something wrong. When I mounted the OEM wheels on the ES300, the nut lugs need to be turned 9-10 rounds. But when I mounted the aftermarket one, using its lug nuts, I can turn the nuts only 5-6 rounds. I figure out that the OEM lugnut have a very long lug seat, which let the nuts go deeply into the wheels. That why we can turn the OEM nuts more rounds than the aftermarket ones (Please see my picture to understand me. Thanks!) The aftermarket wheels I tried are recommended for both 01 Honda Accord V6 and 99 Lexus ES300, without any extra accesories, by a very famous online tire store. So, 5-6 rounds are enough when we mount the aftemarket, or we need longer lug bolts when using aftermarket wheels? If I put the longer nut bolts in, when I want to use the OEM wheels again in the next winter, do I need to put the OEM nut bolts back in? Thank you for your help!
  9. Hi, I have just buy a OEM filter from a Toyota dealer. The part number is 90915 YZZG1. It is not 90915 YZZD1 as usual. Any of you use this one before? Thanks,
  10. Hi, I have a 99 ES300, 115000 miles. When I backup the car from my driveway to the road, it shakes when I change the gear from R to D with the wheel point to left or right side. If I return the wheel to normal position before shifting R to D, the car does not shake or just shake a little bit. Searching the forum, I think it is the symptom of “engine mount” or “dog-bone mount”… Can you help, please! Thanks,
  11. Hi, I am looking for two OEM front strut mounts for 99 ES300. I ask two different shops and they both gave me the different part numbers. One shop gave me : 48603 33010 and 48603 33021. The other shop gave me 48609 33121 and 48603 33021 Do you know what is the redesigned strut mount part numbers? Thank you.
  12. Hi Toysrme, So you think I might not need the spark plug wires now? I would be nice! I have just want to replace the spark plugs since my car have a loudsy cold start (Compare to my Honda Accord and my father 97 ES300). Dealer says there is nothing wrong. Try a couple things did not work so I want to replace the spark plugs. Thanks,
  13. Hi, Thank for your response, Mburnickas! I have just contact Newlexusparts through email. Is there somewhere else we can order the OEM wire set, please! Thanks,
  14. Hi, I would like to replace my spark plugs and wire. I have found two websites offer wire set for 99 ES300. Can you tell me if the wire sets they offer are the origional, please! thePartsPin speedyPerformance... Since I have not found any recomend in our forum about those websites, do you have any experience with them? A recomendation for another website would be nice. I have check a newlexuspart.com and irontoad.com but they did not have spark plugs and wire. Thanks,
  15. Thank you. Your guy are so nice here. Mburnickas said that I can "pull the front valve cover off in a few minutes and find out how frequently the oil was changed" but I really do not know where the front valve cover is. Sorry for this stupid question. Can somebody help me, please! For the repair history, the first owner gave me all the record, which show that the car was take cared buy a very well by a Lexus dealer. If the noise come from Mobil1 then it mean Mobil 1 is not good for the cold weather or that noise is just normal, I can live with it without problem? Have any of you tried to flush the engine with Karosen? Does it make any difference? Thanks,
  16. Hi, I have a 99 ES300 with the exact the same noise as Miguel have described "when you go over a bump or somenthing simlar it sound as if you have somenthing on your trunk, like a groceries rolling around after a sharp turn that is the exact feeling and sound." Do you think my trouble also come from the rubber swaybar bushings? Thank you in advanced,
  17. Thank for your response, I have owned this car for 6 months. It did not have this noise before. The Lexus dealer said there was nothing wrong but I know that it is not normal, compare to how it ran before or compare to my Honda Accord with the same age. The noise: In the first minute, it sound like piston slap, but it is not as bad as the noise I have heard form the pistonslap web site. After that, it is just the noise of the engine. Some people told me it was because of the Mobile 1 5W-30 since it is the lightest oil in the market. Some said it is because of the bad oil filter. Some said I should use Karosen to flush the engine. What do your guy think? Thanks,
  18. Hi everybody, I live in NY. My 99 ES300, 115k is very noisy when I start it in the cold morning. The car takes about 10 minutes to get back to normal. I have just have the oil changed (Mobil 1, 5W-30) Do you have any experience about that? Thank you in advanced,
