Denso is the software manufacturer for the Nav system and Pioneer is the hardware manufacturer. There is Vaistech and Coastaltech that do some modding ie Override and IPOD/XM connections...

Try this press VOLUME then press UPPER LEFT, LOWER LEFT, UPPER LEFT, LOWER LEFT, LOWER RIGHT corners for starters..

I was talking with a friend who has a Mini and he mentioned that there is an active community of hackers who modify and update the Nav system installed in the Minis. I can't find any information on the Lexus Nav system except how to install iPod or DVD. I believe the system was developed for Lexus by Delphi.

Anyone have hacking info?

I've installed the VAIS Tech unit in my car. I won't claim that it is a perfect solution, but it is far better than an FM modulator. It isn't that hard to install the unit yourself if you have any mechanical ability at all. I described my installation along with pictures at

better than FM,but what about cassette adaptor?

I would like to get an in dash dvd player. Are there any that can be incorporated to control the rest of the audio devices. Or, are there any you can hook into the lcd nav screen? I saw the thread about the ipod intergration.

I have 2 2006s.No clunk ...knock on wood..

I picked up my '06 GX yesterday.  The car is perfect.  I did notice a "clunk" which was more like a downshift upon coming to a complete stop.  It didn't seem as major as what some people on this BB have described.  Based on some of the postings, I expected it to be far, far worse.  My wife noticed it too, but if this is as bad as it gets, Lexus can count us as happy customers.
