I have a 2006 and was considering updating the nav dvd.Pros?Cons?

Anyone looking to get rid of a trailer hitch/harness for a 2006?

I personally don't care for chrome wheels so I would tell them too bad, give me what I paid for ;)

Did you reset the nav screen or reset the dash maint. light? It is 2 diff procedures.

How soon we forget

Its a oil change reminder, the manual tells you how to reset it.

Not the issue.It has been reset twice. All Nav issues are green on the Nav screen.

I use Premium. I get better gas mileage. 20-40 miles per tank.

anyway to tell why this is on? The Nav system doesnt indicate anything(i.e.-all green)

Sorry I cant help, but i was thinking there still has to be some way for the service menu to be accessed.

I bought a new 06 GX 470 about 2 months ago. I would like to install a remote start. Has anyone done this with their truck? Have you had any problems with it? How much did you pay and what type did you use?

I did see that there is one that will use the same key and remote that you received with the truck and I would like to keep that. Did you do it yourself or did you have someone else do it?

paid $400 for 2 way starter. This added an additional 1500 ft in range and lets me know that it started by beeps on my remote. It uses its own remote. It locks the doors on starting and I have to use its remote to unlock it. With any remote you will lose security since they have to put a spare key somewhere to disable the "chip" feature. i.e. the car will not start if it doesnt sense the computer chip built into the keys within several feet of the igniton housing. I have never heard of any starters using native remotes.

any chance a satellite radio antenna on the dash could be interfering?

On a recent trip,my nav system went crazy. The compass was all screwed up, more so I assume it was the gps as the compass on the mirror was fine. It had the present location completely wrong>At one point I was in the middle of Lake Erie.

I didnt change anything.It just happened while driving. I reset,did it again then reset over the course of the trip.Any ideas?

I did not cross over into a different map region during the trip.

I made an mp3 CD and tried it on the GX and the answer to your question is no, you can not play mp3 on a 2006 GX. I too made a regular music CD using CD-R Maxell and it does play it. Even though on the changer it says that you would not be able to play such CD's. It's a shame; I have a 1995 volvo which also has a CD changer. I tried playing an mp3 there as well and no it does not work...but that's reasonable because it's a 1995...but just thought that it might work.

I can transfer one # from my phone(bluetooth) at a time.Actually it is just one contact.The # never actually came through. I just want to enter phone book contacts manually,i.e. with the phone nowhere around.How can I do this?

Sounds simple but I cant find the means on the nav interface nor can I find it in the manual.

How do you punch in #s manually? My Sprint phone only allows one contact transfer at a time. :cries:

Any luck? I'm usually willing to go $1000 or less over invoice. I would call a bunch of dealers and ask. Tell em they got a quick easy sale if they can do it for your price.Some will laugh others will bite.That is what I did with my last lease. Why did the ones that laughed keep calling me back....hmmm?
