  2. Along the same lines, how do you change the maintenance interval? And,what is the default(3500 mi?)
  3. can mp3s be played in a 2006. I can play cd-r wav dics.
  4. Have at it then. all I'm saying is I'd be looking at more of a workhorse type model if I was to do serious offroading.I've had mine offroad some and it handled fine. If you got the cash to beat the tar out of a $50/k luxury SUV right on.
  5. so let me get this straight. if you can install it uder the seat, are you good to go or do you have to pull the panel to enable other features it turns off?
  6. they are in the second row. they are next to the handles on the ceiling.you have to pull them down
  7. I got the chromes from the dealer for about $1500 with trade-in. They look nice without being too flashy. Being in Michigan, as you know, they arent too shiney this time of year. Maybe I'll clean one up for a pic this weekend.
  8. Dr. Gee and Statman, I have a 2006 GX470 with Nav & RSES. The hack works for me in park and while in motion. These are the steps I follow: 1. Hit the "Menu" button 2. Press "Volume" icon on the screen 3. Press top left of screen 4. Bottom left 5. Top left 6. Bottom left The service menu screen appears. 7. Press and hold "Override" until you hear a beep and the text changes from white to black 8. Press "Back" 9. Press the "Destination" button to enter desired destination. As mentioned earlier in the discussion, the override will remain in effect until you turn the car off. Good luck. Let me know if this works for you. Antonio. thanks! That was it. I was trying in the "sound" screen of the audio section.
  9. I cant get it .I must be retarded.ive tried it everyway suggested. I have version 5.1 btw.does this matter? Dr.Gee- My boss has the same 2006 GX470 as you do. We went to a meeting this Thursday and while he was driving on the highway I did Method 1 on his and override the system. The above method will not work on yours, make sure that you are going into the sound menu and at the corners just press as described in the other post. I hope it works for you because if you look at the 1st post that I put in I was frustrated and ready to give up thinking that this worked on everyone's Lexus but mine. I finally got it to work and I hope you will be able to also. This is the most annoying problem... thanks.Ive tried every variation on both screens. Maybe I'm overlooking the obvious. After the input sequence will you go to a new screen or do you have to go manually? Now that you can do it with ease, what were you doing wrong looking back? Ive tried at the very corners(touching plastic as well as sceen) and offset a little. Ive tried slow and fast sequences. brief taps as well as longer ones.
  10. I cant get it .I must be retarded.ive tried it everyway suggested. I have version 5.1 btw.does this matter?
  11. good question i would like to know myself
  12. I didnt find any refs for this, but was told by the local audio shop it would work. It costs 1k. They pull your board and send it to the company. one a/v input. http://www.nav-tv.com/index02.htm
  13. Man ive tried like 50 times.no luck. tried it fast,slow,in park,blah,blah.
  14. cant seem to get it to work.do you have to be in park?
  15. Any recommendations on these?Including where to get them?
  16. thanks. Does "top left" mean touch the top left screen or a specific button on screen?
  17. I was talking to a Lexus dealer and he was telling me there are some hacks you can input thru the nav touchscreen. ever hear of this?
  18. I've gone off road in many different SUVs. This is one I wouldn't in. This is the poster car for grocery store SUVs. I would recommend skidplates, brush guards, whatever you can get your hands on for added protection.
  19. You would think they would get their act together and expand as there seems to be quite a demand.
  20. Is there anyway to get around the "accept" screen at start up.It is annoying.
  21. I seem to get some gear slip at different times/speeds. GX 2006 anyone else?
