  1. Is there a way to tell what version is currently installed? I have an '04 GX470. Thanks!
  2. That's it!! You've been "clunked"!!! ...welcome to the club! :chairshot:
  3. That's good!! They must have found a solution to the problem!!! Now we need to get Lexus to fix ours!!
  4. I agree that the GX-470 is a very nice vehicle. However, this "clunk" should not be tolerated. Obviously, many people are experiencing it. Lexus needs to address the problem and fix it!!! End of story! I think Lexus will lose customers as a result!!!
  5. I had the same problem. The dealer replaced the rotors under warranty!
  6. I have the clunk and unfortunately since the dealers and useless Lexus corporate customer service denies it is a problem and labels it as a "charateristic" of the truck, there does not seem much we the consumers can do except SELL THE TRUCK OR LIVE WITH THIS STANDARD "FEATURE". SHAME ON LEXUS FOR NOT FIXING THIS CLUNKY DRIVESHAFT, I'LL NEVER BUY A LEXUS AGAIN, I HOPE GX470 SHOPPERS LEARN TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS TRUCK. ← I agree!!! It really is too bad that Lexus does not care about this problem! I'm getting the same lack of help from LONGO Lexus in So. Calif!!! ..what dealer are you going to? For those who have not experienced it, it is severe enough to make you look in the mirror to see if someone has just rear ended you!!! Try this..... at a stop, try pushing the button on the center console to lower the suspension. It always clunks it's way down !!!
  7. I am one very unhappy Lexus customer!!! I have an '04 GX-470 with the "clunk"!!! When at a stop, I press the button on the center console to lower the suspension, I get the clunk-clunk-clunk!!! I also get it when coming to a stop after normal driving! The problem has been going on for well over a year. The dealer has replaced the drive shaft and tried other fixes and I still have the problem! The dealer is telling me that they have never heard of this problem!!!! Haha, I'm glad I found this web site! Not only that but the dealer (LONGO lexus in So. Cal.) told me that their policy is to tell the customer that if they can't figure it out, then it is considered normal!!! To make matters worse, over a month ago, I called the toll free Lexus customer service number and registered my complaint. Helloooo, is anybody home??? No returned phone calls, no supervisor call back and my car still clunks!!! I can not believe the total lack of Lexus customer service!!!
