The lighter wires shouldn't matter Are you sure the security is set on the radio ? I would say probably not, 99.9% of lexus owners never set the security on. I have never come across a headunit that was locked yet. Welcome to the club

Gotta give NC props for reminding us that, although it might be "sameold sameold" for some of us, for others, it's a brand new problem, often with a brand new Lexus and a brand new forum. Hi DCFish, My 99 GS300 Pioneer headunit's backlight were all burned out (I can still read the channel info)! Is there any economical way to fix that? Please send info and quote to wahboy@hotmail.com.
