Hi Prateek sorry to hear about the crash. It's always especially bad when it's a car you really care about.
Have you got a photo of the damage?

If you put your foot down and pin the gas then it will shift down is that what you mean?

It is shaping up to be a rather nice looking car! I must admit I do like the look of it in Atomic Silver with the red interior Paul.

That doesn't sound too bad on the autobahn. I guess that drops significantly if you take advantage of the lack of speed limits?

I recommend the Thule Hitch Bike Carrier.
Which model have you got Anthony?

Definitely worth getting the battery tested anyway though as you never know!

Welcome to LOC, congrats on the purchase and hope you enjoy the car!

I've always tried to differentiate my cars in one way or another, whether that means full window tint, after-market wheels & tires, lift kits, or whatever it takes. Over the years, I guess I've rubbed off on my wife. We recently picked up an '07 ES350 with just 30,000 miles on it. My wife's only complaint was that it looked just like every other ES out there. No need to say anything else...
Here's where we started:
After tinting the windows:
After adding a rear spoiler and 20" wheels (8.5" wide) with 245/35R20 tires:
While it may not be everyone's "cup of tea", we love the way it looks. Obviously, we lost some amount of ride comfort (though before this my wife drove my Expedition so it's still a huge improvement) but we gained a fair amount of handling. It still doesn't handle like it's on rails, but we lost alot of that floating feeling it had before. We've had no issues with rubbing at all. And surprisingly, even turning the wider tires, it's still averaging about 28 mpg in mixed city/freeway driving.
Looks great in white with the chrome. As long as you're happy with the ride that's the main thing.

Is it just the radio cutting out or the power to the unit itself?

Any luck with this?

I have the IS250 (rear wheel drive) rather than the IS350
My figures are all in miles per gallon but using an online converter:
Around town in traffic I get around 12 litres per 100km
On a nice long run I've had it as low as 6.7 litres per 100km which I was really impressed with. That's cruise control on around 70/75 mph (110/120 kmh).
It just seems to love long runs.

I would definitely go ahead and look for one in similar condition before destroying it. But ultimately, I think you're going to have to.
Doesn't matter if you can find a decent replacement first though right?
-
How's the fuel consumption in the IS350 as a comparison?
-
Impressive stuff. Like you said pretty good for a V8. Most Lexus models do usually love to cruise though. Even on my IS250 the mileage shoots up when I take it on a nice long run.

What a car for $500
My personal guess is you will end up having to destroy the interior door panel to get it open, but then I'm sure you'll be able to track one down in good condition.
Bit of shame but at that price the rest of the car looks fantastic.

A V10 is definitely going to sound a little different from a V6!

Agree with Paul - definitely check the fuses first. Nine out of ten times it will be a blown fuse.
-
Looks great Kenny - what's it like at night though?
-
Wow that's quite some mileage!

That's a shame no difference in noise at all?
-
Ouch that's an expensive update

I always tend to think the the bike carriers mounted on a tow hitch are best - not sure if you have one?
Thule make some good products:

I imagine it's probably a case of removing the entire door card if it's internal?
-
That's a shame hope you can track something down! Out of interest.. Lexus themselves don't do an official iPod integration kit do they? I'm sure they used to do something for the IS250 so not sure if it would also work on the LS460 - might be worth an ask though!
