  6. HA HA HA, That was funny Toys......
  7. You may want to post this thread on the Clublexus forum or Lextreme.com forum... There are few options that you can go...
  8. Brake torqueing - Press the brake down hard, then you rev the motor up while still in place and then suddenly release the brake and then off you go..... Not recommended.... First off - If you get a spinout in your stock SC your tires are bald and the road is wet, and it is only one rear wheel spinning and not both... No seriously, first off you are only getting power to one rear wheel via the open end stock differential, the stock tires are skinny, maybe the ground or your tires are slick. That is the only way I can see an SC400 breaking loose out of the gates... From a dead stop, when you floor the SC4's they simply do not jump out of the gates... That is fact... I would be very suprised if I ever saw a stock SC do a wheel spin from a dead stop "both wheels"...Not going to happen, sorry fellas... With my torque converter and Supra Limited slip different (traction to both rear wheels) and my fat rear tires from launch, both rears skreetch out of the gates, the front end lifts a bit and I get thrust back into the seat...No nitrous either... That is what the Dragon Torque Converter did for me.. With the 100whp Nitrous system activated and from a dead stop I can peal out for half a block, and that is thru both 1rst and 2nd gears then in third I cherp and finally grip.... That is major wheel spin not to brag... With that being said I never hit the NOS in first gear because the torque converter is sufficient enough to take care of my 1rst gear speed and take offs...
  9. They are all painfully slow at stock... I use to deal these cars 92-96's and they were all slugs off the line unless you brake torque...Even brake torqueing they were still slow... Pingpong if your SC4 spins off the line then you do not have the stock torque converter in your SC.. I also highly dought a stock 93 SC4 can beat out a new Merc 280....
  10. Trac control is over rated... When it goes out like it is with you it is automatically disabled and reverts to normal driving conditions... I wouldn't spend to much to fix it unless you live in crazy weather...
  11. cylinder motor
  12. Yeah, the older Datson's had those inline 6 cylinder motors that wear out very slowely and usually don't have too many problems... Very reliable motors.. I had a older Nova years back with a straight six motor and it went 250,000 miles + with little or no problems .. I also currently own an FJ80 Landcruiser with 220,000 miles on the 4.5L straight six motor and it runs like new and never had any problems.... Infact my 1993 Toyota Landcruiser is the best car I have ever owned that required the least amount of attention, maintenance, and fixes...The Lexus SC400 is second...
  13. No difference....The difference is in the stall rate set inside the torque converter... You can either have your stock torque converter re-calibrated to a newly desired stall rate or you can purchase a new one that is preset like the Dragon....It really doesn't matter...
  14. Go to planetsoarer.com and look at the BFI intake design for the Soarer/SC400's...Costs nothing and performs the best...
  15. Lenore - OH YES - I forgot about those older 12 cylinder Jags...Those are a break down waiting to happen...A true LEMON... Mercedes also made a few lemons... Newer Merc's too... The Triumps and Fiero's weren't bullet proof either by any means.... I will tell you the Brits make some crappy cars, the Range Rovers aren't all that either..Constant leaks and electrical problems... Buy a Rover and you better get a bumber to bumper warrenty for 100k..

  17. I am curious as to what you guys think the worst car is that you have ever owned... From my past experiences and as a former owner of a used car dealership, I would have to rate these cars as the worst heeps on the planet... 1991 Ford Taurus - Just a peice....Tranny's are a joke and will slip with the best of them.. 1986 Ford Escort GT - Used more oil then gas and broke down more then a crowd of people at a funeral... :cries: 1995 (I think) Isuzu Rodeo - The electrical components, engine and suspension last about as long as a full tank of gas... Those are my top three lemons of all time :chairshot:
