  1. Try calling a Lexus dealership and ask them to fax the service records to you. The previous owner may have had all of the oil changes and check ups done at a Lexus shop. All of Lexus' dealerships are networked so if any work was done they will tell you. Good luck
  2. As far as the smell from the A/C have you tried to replace the cabin air filter? It's in the back of the glove compartment. Good luck!
  3. If you find a dealer that's stretching to meet their quota you can get them to do anything within reason. After we were done negotiating the price of our RX I had them add the extended warranty. They complain but if they need to sale cars they do it. If they tell you no just say that there offer may be OK but you want to go home and think about it, no way do they let you go if you the warranty is all that's holding up the sale. Good luck!!
  4. Yeah, I agree. Even the most loyal Lexus owners say you can 150k miles on an engine without problems but after that they can get expensive. I think you can get a CPO with less than half the miles for around 19k for that year model. It's a little more but at least you know you'll be covered if something goes wrong.
  5. You might try this link. http://www.lextasy.com/rx300_bug_deflector...k_1334_prd1.htm Hope that helps.
  6. That's it!! OK, I'm missing the cap. Thanks!!
  7. No, it's above that, this button is on the top left of the gear shift.
  8. I just bought a 2000 AWD RX300 and love it so far. I noticed that there is a button just above "Park" on the gear shift and can't figure out what it does if anything. I don't have the owners manual and am curious as to what it is for.
