I think mine is also causing a slight vibration at 2100 rpm but instead of replacing the bearing/clutch i think i will just get a whole new fan that is electrical to reduce the load and free up some power.
Plus it looks more trick that way.

I used to a member of bimmerfest and still browse around on the pages of bimmerforums from time to time, as a guest. I wouldn't mind going cruising with some members here one of these weekends. Anyone interested in a car meet? Not a limited Lexus meet, just an enthusiast meet.

I'm going to add up the cost of building my car from ground up later. I'll post the jaw dropping results later, if I actually finish today.

Are you looking for all-season tires or performance? For all-season tires I really love Kumho Exsta ASX. I know, they're cheap tires but they are definitely underrated. With the Kumho's I feel real confident driving in the rain, plus these tires last forever. For performance I'd go with Bridgestone Pole Position....wears out very quickly but the dry traction is amazing.

Are you positive that the compressor clutch is kicking on? Have you seen the clutch engage? What A/C sticker is under the hood? r-12 to r-134a conversion?

jzz30, I'll be checking my porch for your package on a daily basis. :D

I haven't seen or heard one on a Lexus before but I know that they sound great on all bimmers. I wouldn't imagine that they would sound horrible on a Lexus.

Most indy shops should be able to replace it without a problem.

Are you sure the dimmer switch isn't set on low?

Really? More appealing than the 3-series? I've never been a big fan of Chris Bangle's design but the new 3-series is pretty sexy. The new IS looks kind of like the new Civic.

Typo "steal". But anyways, It's mines. I'll PM the addy to you. Keep my beers insulated when you ship them, please.

I'm drunk. Crappy but here you go. I'll PM you the addy to send my beer to.
I might have some pics on my fiance's computer of my turbo build up documentary. I'll post them up if she still has them. Damn, I'm wasted.

LOL. If it was a Lexus, you would probably be able to pay off a house. I'd rather just buy a Ferrari and not assemble my own car...probably end up with some change too.

I don't think replacing the light housing would solve jimmykatyal's problem.

Haha. Didn't even notice that. I don't care, I'm gonna still that line from you. :P

It sucks that they have to be so expensive. Those *BLEEP*s are making a killing off of those exhaust...and I bet they don't cost more than any other exhaust to produce. Yes, they are made for BMW's but you could cut and weld it on any vehicle.

Thanks. Yes, I did everything myself. Luckily I use to be an auto/smog tech....I saved myself thousands of dollars. Tuning the stand-alone engine management was a new thing to me, so I had a little help there.

Have you tried searching on craigslist.org?

You owe me a beer. UPS it.

Usually.....auto = 20-25% drivetrain loss and a manual would be 12-15%.
Dynojets read high and Mustangs read low. What's in between? I have no idea.
So what do you figure?
Depends....auto or stick? Please inform me on the base crank hp specs.

The G35 has been out for some time now, so I wouldn't consider it a "1st year" vehicle.

A C-class should be compared to an IS. The E-class is comparable to the ES. SC = SL and LS = S-class.

When the clutch is energized it locks onto the compressor and the serpentine belt spins the compressor. When the A/C is off the clutch just freewheels on the pulley. You should be able to see a plate on the A/C compressor engage with the pulley and spin, when the A/C button is switched on.
