Navigation heat/ac issue.
Hello everyone, I have a 2000 GS400 with Navigation. The Automatic climate controll buttons at the top of the Navigation screen don't work. Also, when I press the climate button on the Navigation screen the set cabin temperature and outside temperature aren't displayed and I can't use the manual overrides on the touch screen. I did try unhooking the battery overnight to “reset “ things but it didn’t change anything.
Beeping or squeaking sound when steering
I have a 2003 GS430 and when I drive, something beeps or squeaks repetitively for a short period of time. The sound is coming from I think the steering rack or the gauge cluster. I bought this car used with a check engine light, ABS light, and VSC light ON. I used a scanner and the codes were for a bad catalytic converter and a bad evap system. When I cleared all of the codes, every light went off. But that’s when I started hearing these beeping sounds. IMG_3318.mov
oil change and plug replacement
My Lexus dealer says I need an oil change every 5 k miles and new plugs every 60 k miles . I thought 100,000 on plugs and 10,000 on synthetic oil , I only drive 6 k per year . Am I being screwed or am I wrong . Love to hear other opinions .
wheel touchup paint color codes
Does anyone know if Lexus publishes color codes for their rims. I have a 2017 RX with the silver and dark grey rims that need some touching up. If not, does anyone know what will come close to matching that is on the market in US.
Advanced Park Works Well EXCEPT In My Driveway
I love my 2025 Lexus NX 350h EXCEPT for one thing. Although Advanced Park works well in shopping centers or any place where white lines denote a parking space, Advanced Park can't detect my driveway as a parking space. Instead, it identifies the swale and wants to parallel park. Do I need to paint a white line in my driveway so Advanced Park works? Does anyone have a workaround?

Alan Funk one of the original moderators of this forum is in poor heath. He loved solving problems & helping and talking all things about cars especially his 3 Lexuses ! He has a 2007 ES350 w/Ultra-Luxury Package. w/25,000 miles. Amber Pearl w/Cashmere interior. Its only been serviced by Lexus , parked in a private spot and babied…orginal owner of course! I’m wondering if anyone has interest? I haven’t listed this anywhere else as I felt it would be respectful to him for me to present it to the Lexus Owner Club members first.
