I got a 2004 RX330 with Navigation. The problem I have with the navigation is that it disables most of the search functions when the car is in motion. For example, the other day few of my friends decided to go for dinner and wanted to find out about the Indian restaurants in the area. I had to pull over in order to do the search. Of course the passenger is trying to find the place. I really don’t like this feature. Is there a way to disable this feature?

Run a search this has been discussed at legnth. It is not possible to disable this "feature".
