ZekeInCBus Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 We needed a second vehicle. It’ll be driven 250 miles/month - so something low priced but nice. Bought a 1 owner ‘04 and it’s got 198k on it. Came out of GA. Water pump and belt done twice. Valve cover gaskets replaced at 195K. Regular oil changes at the dealer every 4K. I’ve got a complete Maint history. What else should I be looking at? Only thing that doesn’t work is the e-brake. What am I in for there?
Lexus Owners Club Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Sounds like you have a good one there Brandon. The main thing is that it has been maintained correctly over the years and everything was replaced when it should have been so it suggests a responsible previous owner. As a result it shouldn't need anything much outside of routine maintenance
BillyBobby Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 I have owned a 2003 GX470 for 2+ years now and enjoy it. Basic maintenance items, CV joints replaced, and brakes. My e-brake doesn't work either and I don't know why--I even had my mechanic look at the e-brake, but I don't remember if he did look at it or not, as it still doesn't work.
