Ls430 when I hit brakes, stereo shuts off, hit gas to turn back on

So it just started happening 2 days ago, when I'm driving and I hit the brakes, my stereo shuts off. Yet all my lights on my dash come on, when I hit the gas, my stereo comes on and the other lights go off. 

Initially when this all started, my battery light came on, but I just got a new battery 4 months ago.

Today it was slow cranking to start.. 

I've asked around and no one has any idea besides possible wiring problems. But I've had this car for over 2 years never had a single problem. 

Please help! I'm a single mama and this is my only and daily driver😅

I believe most auto parts stores will check your alternator for free. I'd have that done, first. If it is the alternator, you will also need to have the battery fully charged.
