My 04 Ls430 lexus will not go pass 3rd gear, and it will not go pass 70miles. Then I sont know how to check my transmission fluid because I don't know where my transmission dipstick is located.

It doesn't have a dipstick but does have a flaw in the transmission cooler that lets water into the fluid.

try dropping a little sample of  fluid from the pan.

 

if it looks brown milkshake gearbox needs new solenoid block at the very least.

third gear solenoid seems to be first to go when this happens.
