davetruong
Well, I think I blew my rear subwoofer on my LX. I don't know how I did it, I mainly listen to talk radio, occasionally Classical, and very rarely some 80's pop. I don't know what happened but I heard the ubiqitous rattling noise when the paper speakers blow. I don't know if the Mark Levinson speaker are more durable then most, but I most say I am dissapointed if in fact they did blow. I had a 97 GS300 that never had problems with the speakers or anything else for that fact. Has anyone experienced these problems, if so were they covered by warranty? Thank you in advance! davetruong
does anyone knows if the speakers are still under warranty?
roberttran
I believe that is under the basic warranty which lasts 48 months or 50,000 miles (which ever comes first). -Robert

My 2001 LX470 made the same woofer noise but mainly when it was cold. After a few minutes it would stop and sound normal. I never addressed mine with Lexus as I purchased a 2004 LX470 buit it would be covered under warranty. Possibly only a loose connection? davetruong
Well the dealer is going to replace the speakers for me under warranty and also will replace my driver's mirror. It appears that the mirrors in the 00 and 01 have had problems in the past.
