jzz30
maybe you could use one from a tundra otherwise you could use a getrag 6speed and have the bell housing converted
1UZ-FE
im kinda interested in a conversion too. i DO NOT plan on doing it any time soon knowing as how i have no money saved up and dont think i will any time soon. Does anyone have any idea what kind of price tag something like this would carry(parts and labor)? even a ballpark estimate would do. SRK
Parts, rebuilding, custom machining, labour, if you don't do it yourself, maybe $5-7k - if you do most of the work yourself, 60% of that. It won't be easy, worthwhile, or rewarding, in my opinion.
VMF
i agree with SRK, its really not worth it, LS is not the type of car u have on stick. GS or IS would fit this purpose much better
UCF3
Also, the LS never came with a 5 or 6Speed version anywhere, not even in Japan. Getrag hasn't made one either--I checked. The only one that is close to comparison is GS300, but a custom driveshaft, electronics, and what SRK and VMF mentioned will definitely be needed. I was quoted $8200 for Parts and Labour from a friend. So day I'll attempt it, when money permits it.
