chadmg7 Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 Hey, I was just looking at getting some Silverstars, but it looks like Sylvania says "on average" they last UP TO one year. That doesn't seem like very long, does it? How long do factory headlights last?
SKperformance Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 i had mine for 2 years long before they were cheap .I payed about $50 a bulb
BRAKATK Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 I have had mine near a year. The factory lights lasted many years before that-I kept them just in case. I think all the brighter lights have shorter life spans. Is the one year the warranty term or the expected life? Seems short for the latter.
es3doubleO Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 I've had mine for about a year and a half and so far no problems (knock on wood!)
squarehat Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Bought a pair in March 02, the left one burnt out in March 04, and I replaced both at once. So I got 24 months, and I do a fair amount of night and inclement weather driving, so the lights get a lot of use.
