I have a 2006 RX330 and there is damge and tear on the passenger side of front dashboard's vinyl. Please see the photo. There was a recall by Lexus which I missed. The car despite the 200k mileage on it is in good shape, but this damage has given it a bit of a cheap look. Does anyone have a suggestion for fixing or at least improving the look?

Find a leather/vinyl repair business that does automobile interiors.  Ask an auto repair shop or car dealer for recommendations.

Other than the pictured damage, are there other cracks in the dash?  Has the dash become sticky and shiny in some places and/or formed a whiteish "bloom" in others?  Are you the original owner? I'm asking because I too have a 2006 RX 330 with only 120,000 miles.

I had the same problem.  The dash would chip away by merely touching it.  I missed the recall so there wasn't anything that the dealership would do.  I ended up getting a dashboard at the junk yard that was in great shape and over the course of 3 evenings I was able to remove the existing dash and install the "new" one.  I'm very happy with the results and it only cost about $250 and my time.  YouTube was a great help in showing how to remove the old dash.  If you attempt, take lots of pictures and label your screws as you remove them.   I taped them to a plastic lid with reference to where they came out.  Good luck!!

I have a much smaller problem with cracks in the dash of my RX330 2005. I used chalkboard duck tape. The color flat blackish matches perfectly.
