i'm sort of new in la and have a 91 ls400. can anyone recommend a mechanic?(besides the dealer) i need some front-end work and 90k service?

also, i need new tires. i currently am using the stock 15 inch rims w/205 65 15 tires(per lexus). i notice extra space in wheel well and would like to go with a larger tire, but am not sure of which size. any suggestions???

thanks.

When I need repairs that I can't handle, I'll be taking my 90 LS400 to

Haines Auto

2233 W. Valley

Alhambra

626-300-9269

I have used them since the 70's for assorted Japanese cars, currently a Villager minivan. He handles most Japanese cars and will work on Mercedes since he owns a couple himself.

Give him (Haines) a call and compare the cost of a 90m service versus the dealer.

You are due for the timing belt. Check the price of this also. You'll be shocked.

I plan on doing all simple maintanence myself.
